Dealing with the Ignorant

Have to deal with Xiao Ping's incompetence, the pet dog of Jonathan. I finished his work for him (word documents with lots of spelling mistakes and format problems). He'll have to proof read the rest himself, I can't do everything for him. I thought I could finish these within the hour, but it took the entire TOEFL administration time.

The easy responses which I can use without fear:

I don't do things like Xiao Ping, doing things at the last minute and having others do his work when he couldn't do it or there's not enough time.

It is better you do it earlier, that way you can have time to learn or hire someone to do your job for you. (If there's no earlier schedule, which is not true, then maybe you should consider changing career  改行).

Conclusion:

I do have to watch my own works, many of which I did wait until the last minute, even though I do not throw this burden on others.

I could easily refuse Xiao Ping's task, as it is really none of my business, especially at the last minute. I did it out of pity.

This brings to a recollection of a church member complaining about someone who once had that which was similar to Xiao Ping's last job (reporter) from which he was probably, as I was told, laid off (more like fired), that people in this line of work (reporters) are senseless, ignorant and ungrateful.

I refuse to believe that, because it's an absolute untrue and I need to worry about dealing with this type rather than ignoring or run away from them.

Of course, in this matter, it is important to keep it calm. No gossiping. Deal with the person in question directly, justly but graciously.
