The Business of Moving Out of State

Two more people I know moved further away from my location. One from Long Island to Florida, the other from the Mid-West to California.

I have to stress to myself the importance of how one impact the world by starting from one's neighborhood. To allow oneself to be influenced by others (jobs, economy, etc.) is so...incompletely, passive, impotent.

Update 6/4/2026: I must add that there's an exception to the rule - that is if the state (i.e. blue, democrats) begins to attack (i.e. high tax, tough business policing, etc.) it's own residents, then, maybe it is time to move out. This is in light of how CA/NY are now raising taxes, while Florida is trying to lower taxes:
