Today, they don't really have any significant power that is designated for their titles.
If anything, they are but symbols. Nothing more than a living walking museum. Carrying and conserving the genetic heritage of their "royal" ancestry.
If one of them realize this, he/she would do something useful, probably irrelevant to one's royal title, i.e. a job that does not require such title.
But if the royalty is thus persuaded because of something or someone like me, it is not enough.
Now that I have clarified my stand, should I view any such royalty beyond the human nature, such as occupations, talents and contributions, by default, I am well aware how I should view them and their fans/groupies: A living museum with lots of fans.
