on Lulu-eliyah Shira

A few years ago, my wife attended their (纽约闽南教会-曼哈顿闽南教会) English service in some high school gym (supposedly temporary location). I was exploring the churches in the city, and also Dr. Stephen Tong was going to have a rally in alliance with this church. Their English service (mostly high schoolers to young adults) pastor was Lulu-eliyah Shira, who was from Indonesia. It would appear that he's not there anymore. I'm not even sure if he's still a pastor. Reverend (title) maybe, but pastor, probably not.

The way he preached about how he "put" his money to support their church building as motivation (and will take his money back if no one else supports) alerted me to something wrong with him. He also claimed to me that it was him who got Dr. Tong to come. That they had history back in Indonesia.

I mentioned Rev. Laura Lin to him, he said he is aware of her but has no connection with her. I sensed that he was hiding something. I told Rev. Laura Lin about him, she said he's ok but I somehow doubt she meant it.

Anyway, I am guessing that Eliyah didn't leave his Manhattan church on good term.

Bottom line, It would seem that all he's good with is building social network, people connection (人际关系) like the other name I've mentioned here. And I see this "EQ" that they treasure never last.
