I believe from my own experience that emotional sensitivity is directly proportional to discipline of heart, mind and body: Both spiritually and physically.
This emotion is not agape related. It is of the kind which one regretted later. It is also not applicable to everyone, for we must each think soberly, according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith. (Romans 12:3)
