Founder of a Church

Michael Young told me when we first met at a retreat, "I'm the founder of this church".

I didn't know him well then. But if I do, I would have asked: "How come you're still not a pastor? or teaching something at church?"

I told Rev. Lin about it, her response was only: Only Jesus is the founder.

I'm sure how Michael Young would respond: "Who cares, everyone goes to heaven anyway."

From this, it is clear, that nobody cares not even about milk, not to mention solid food, as I ponder upon Hebrews 5:11-6:10.

Now if I read 6:10, yes, God will not overlook good works. But true good works is associated with the love of his saints in his name. Not the love of reputation with his name.

Thus the founding of such church can only be a blessing of a location. Not of a fellowship. 可去可不去。 Like the cathedrals in Rome.
