When w32tm fails to update the source, and got stuck at w32tm /query /status = source: local CMOS clock, use the older "net time" command.
Example:
net time /set \\SPGNYAD01 /yes
\\SPGNYAD01 is host with the right time.
/yes parameter is used to bypass confirmation prompt.
Place this batch command in task scheduler and have it triggered with the highest elevated permission.
