Worldly Mercy VS Good Mercy

Mat 25:40  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

It is unto God that we give the glory to. The world however does not, despite its charity.

Many would translate this verse as having pity on the unfortunates. But, how can we have pity on the King? So I have seen, that many misunderstood this and therefore not able to react properly and were lost when their charity did not return with gratitude but scorn.

Thus, I would rather that this passage be understood as treating the least of these as more royalty than myself. Treating myself as an ordinary peasant when the world is flushing me with riches and luxuries, while treating others who are in need, as royalty, as kings and queens. And knowing the principle of Soli Deo Gloria, I know, that the opportunity to preach the true Gospel shall always be at my side. And as far as differentiating those who are the King's brethren and those who believe not, John Calvin has put it wisely, that "the more nearly a man approaches to God, he ought to be the more highly esteemed by us". So that we be watchful before God, the key to the right charity is to honor and glorify God, lest the dogs and the swine trample that which is holy and your pearls under their feet, and turn again and rend you (Matthew 7:6).

This is a time of false prophets, I shall endure and work diligently for my God, unto the end.
