How Lee Kuan Yew Answered "They took our job" mentality

When I first heard this from a cafeteria manager in OBU, on how foreigners are coming to U.S.A. stealing the citizens' jobs, I was bothered.

Then I learned of the right wing vs left wing.

Then I understood the basic economics of this:
Either let foreigners take the jobs or remove the minimum wage law. You can't prevent both.

Bottom line, the sovereignty of the nation has no jurisdiction in economics because economics is a global thing. If you block foreign workers and levy strict minimum wage law upon employers, then you'll see more outsourcing. Economics will always find balance and is impassionate of one's pampered emotion. There's benefit in being a citizen of a nation, but not this. Not against economics.

That's why I was impressed seeing this video clip of Lee Kuan Yew on the same subject:

If the unemployed citizens must be employed, then the economics of the nation will fail.

"I understand how much pain it is, so I'm sorry I cannot give you a simple answer like "yes let's sack the Filipinos".
