A Lesson in Humility

When we sin, God punishes us in ways we do not agree.

It is better this way, than hell fire.

I have no peace, unless I am with Thee and Thou with me.

I know You cannot be with me, if I let not my pride away.

How long can I allow my conscience to be clouded by darkness, lest I see my pride,

How could I get out of this bondage, if I seek not Thy light behind the cloud.

Can I use work and my servitude to justify my righteousness? Oh Lord, Thou have shown greater mercy upon me more than Nadab and Abihu.

I ask now for nothing else, not a blessed servitude, not a blessed work, but Thy sanctification.

Let me be worthy to say, In the name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I pray Thee, Amen.
