Ancestral Bloodlines of American Presidents

Came across Stephen Chan's long awaited FB post. This is interesting, someone made an easy to understand chart for each president's ancestral countries.

Descent into Hell by Charles Williams recommended by Catholic Peter Kreeft on a woman perfect in "everyway" according to his desire but was of the devil, seducing the man who was rejected by another woman:

9/23/2024 Joseph Pearce (ex-neo Nazi) mentioned a Down Syndrome boy in a novel "The Violent Bear It Away" by famous Roman Catholic author Flannery O'Connor, where the boy was the only innocent character and got killed. Pearce believe the boy to be similar to Christ figure. I don't know much about the book to comment on this but I think it's probably a Catholicism error on Pearce's part. Christ though innocent is proactive. But his brief interview on the syndrome is still interesting nonetheless - such as having DS kid trains the impatient parent to be patient:

09/22/2024 On whether or not there is salvation for fallen angels: Though the interpretation may differ, due to no other mention of such in the Bible, it can safely be concluded (per Stephen Tong) that Hebrews 2:16 is the only proof text for there is no salvation for fallen angels. In contrast to 1 Timothy 5:21's elect angels. Note that Heb 2:16 in KJV (and also the 1587 Geneva Bible) says "He took not on him the nature of angels" as oppose to NKJV "He does not give aid to angels...", ESV "...not the angels that He helps...":

I wouldn't call it the most valuable blood on Earth as that title is already taken (hint: our Savior). But Australian James Harrison is known for donating his blood for 60 years and especially due to special antibodies in his blood plasma, which results in a treatment called Anti-D, solving Australians' 1960 pandemic called the Rhesus Disease, explained here:

This seems to happen only to version 2007 or perhaps prior versions. The fix is to install the Compatibility Pack or SP3 for MS Office 2007, which I have in my drive.

Quick thought on Creationism in Evangelism

I used to "play nice" and call for a deeper look into science fairly, showing first how Evolutionism is not science and mere pseudoscience, and then I will related to how Young Earth Creationists are wrong in their argument, though as to the exact age of the Universe/Earth, nobody knows for sure, even if the YEC's number is correct.

Nevertheless, after much talk with Christians hellbent on YEC position since a couple of years ago when our church pastor led a series on Creation, I believe I should no longer play nice as I used to.

Should someone ask while I'm doing evangelism, how YEC is not compatible with science specifically in the context of evolution, this is the format and prioritization of my response:

First, the YEC folks are usually not very smart folks because they argue foolishly for their position not according to the core truth of the Scripture, making guesses based on their bias or twisted interpretation of the Scripture, conflating their interpretation with what God says. But that's alright, it's not required by God to show one is smart, but it's required by God to be humble. But pride does lead to ignorance and foolish arguments.

Secondly, Evolutionism is merely pseudoscience, not science.

Journal of the Week

9/19/2024 There's news about Steve Lawson's dismissal/being fired from his church and other ministries due to "...the elders at Trinity Bible Church of Dallas were informed by Steve Lawson of an inappropriate relationship that he has had with a woman..." ~Trinity Bible Church Dallas announcement. Someone covered this best by clipping Lawson's last sermon, apparently conspicuously pointing out that Lawson may have tried to link his own sin in the matter to John the Baptist lack of faith in Jesus by sending his disciples to confirm the Messiah, as Lawson urged "...and you should not judge a man by his one weak moment..." and at @3:50 "...Adrian Rogers...trouble with preachers today is no one ones to kill them anymore. The preachers must be willing to suffer for it..." not sure this last one was Lawson's desire to link it to his own sin and suffering.

But I will not speculate too far nor even talk about this like the other Christians as if this is some news. It's not news to me because:

I never really hold Lawson in as high regard as these Christians, due to the critiques I've given before and present (i.e. jealousy of Pak Tong's church size, getting owned by Paul Washer for being playful with Washer's late arrival at a conference, unable to answer a question on white lies seriously but laughing like Kamala Harris - as shown in below video and I have downloaded into my Photo/Video drive just in case they remove it, etc.)

Secondly, I only criticizes on a preacher own words, not something that news media claims, even his own church or ministries hold little weight for me until I hear his own feedback on it. I can listen and to them all and I often make my own judgment in spite of their comments which maybe vastly different than my own no matter how minority mine may appear to be.

Also, judging from the Trinity church's announcement, it's interesting that Lawson was the one who first brought this up instead of being reported or caught by someone else. Was he being threatened to do so? Or was he taking an incredibly rare proactive action to repent without being caught first? If I cannot answer these, I cannot speculate further. But would appreciate for him to speak up instead of hiding away. Until then, I really don't care to follow this trend of vain news for these two reasons: 1. As explained above, Lawson really is not as big deal as they, especially the fake self-proclaimed reformed-but-really-just-fundamentalist Christians, think, unlike folks like Pak Tong, Sproul, MacArthur, etc. (in the order of importance from left to right for me). 2. We need to hear from Lawson himself about this, not others, not even his own wife.

Goodhart's Law in Software Engineering says: When a measure has become a target, it ceases to be a good measure. This reminds me of church growth its paradoxical meaning in numbers. It is good to have great number in a church, but without right doctrine, the number is not good but proportionally shameful. It's good to be concerned with church growth, but when the number becomes the target, it ceases to be a good number.

9/15/2024 After church service, the pastor came to ask me how's everything. I told him all's good but it would be too much to tell as I wouldn't know what would interest him in the conversation. Later I thought, I would tell him about my exciting work with Salesforce at work and the best way to put this in layman's term would be: Steve's job as Docker/VM developer would be like a creating landfill/reclamation/real estate, Salesforce is like a house builder, and I'm like the interior designer of the house. Though all can be considered developers in the IT world.

    The TULIP Bible Verses Chart

This had been going on on Facebook for years. I figure I should keep it when I recall David Tong also re-tweeted it. I didn't check all the verses, nor do I remember if I've posted here before, but here they are:

    Solution for Migraine

So someone at church has it. And I am researching into a Chinese solution. Thus far: 川芎 and 天麻 (some warning against 過敏 for 天麻) are the two well known herbs. 甘草 & 白芷 are also a known effective herb.

Several recommended herb pills online (huan xiong cha tiao san (CXCTS)):  川芎茶调片 (含白芷) (HeadClarity-TM, good reviews), Kingsway brand of the same kind as the former.

I shall have her try the HeadClarity one and see how that goes.
