Bible's Authority Teaches Us Right Judgment and Comment

When I am praised, the praisers do not make me as their example. For they praise not as lowly creatures, but a judge whose own pros and cons are always shielded from the world.

It is the same, when they read the Bible. They read it as the judge judging the Bible, while in reality, it is just the reverse, that when they read the Bible, they, not the Bible, are being judged - by the Bible.

Therefore, when we praise others, we do not praise vainly, but we make their example our mentor, our personal mentor.

If one only praises others and makes it not his life's example, of that which he praises, his praise is vain and there is no faithfulness found in his mouth.

Why Europe Christianity Failed

European Christians are living in one of the most difficult fields in
the world. Why? It’s not because of persecution but because Europe feels
that it has tried Christianity and it hasn’t worked and we should move
on
.

The Repentance of Judah

In two occasions, one admitting the righteousness of Tamar (Gen 38:26), and the other a selfless desire to sacrifice for his brother Benjamin (Gen 44:33).

Some repent out of selfish desires: to gain acceptance, to be counted as virtuous as others, to be ahead of others in the 'competition' of righteousness, to be at peace with their guilt, etc.

A true repent mortifies one's own body of sins.

Vista wireless adapter: Local Only problem

While it is true that most of such case are due to Norton program (use the Removal tool to remove instead of uninstall), this time, it is a driver update issue for the Atheros AR5007EG model.

Bone Conduction earphones

Not really for the ear but for our bones. Using conduction technology, instead of the traditional air medium.

And they have it for swimmers too. Unfortunately, it's too expensive for me and I don't swim that much lately due to congested crowd (not to mention most of them can't even swim well).

Mortification of Sin, not a thing to be proud of

It is like in the ancient war, the chosen ones are not to lust over their spoils in their victory. Their only desire is to fulfil God's command, not to stand over the bodies of their enemy and boast their strength.

Gratitude should be next to mortification of sin. When one prays for deliverance from sin, how is it right to be proud or seek after such attitude when the sin is 'overcome'? Does such not prove that the sin is not conquered by mutated into another form, a blind substitution?

Thus, when an ex-gangster, porn-addict, depressed, etc. shows no sign of gratitude when praising God for their former faults, but as it those sins were somewhat a necessary part of their spiritual growth (oh what blasphemy!), they have merely turned into different sinners and more stubborn.

A repentant soul would be as thankful to God as one being delivered from a great enemy and he would have a regret that made him wish he hadn't done it, not out of pity on something/someone nor so that he could boast, but out of the thought 'how could he have been so stupid, so lazy, so selfish and so ungodly'. And then be peaceful in his new life in Christ without feeling ignorant or jealousy on those who had done better, but admiring them, praising God for them.

The Blasphemous servant who gave up her marriage

Should anyone say "I sacrificed my former marriage for the sake of the work of Christ", is as blasphemous as a heretic who say "I am willing to forsake the Father and the Holy Spirit, for loving Jesus Christ".

Blue Screen BCCODE 9f

Just had my desktop crashed again. This time I doubt it's hard drive related.

Looking up 9f code, this BSOD is likely caused by some drivers not able to support sleep mode, which my station is doing this time, since the new fresh OS install.

Blue screen of death was not observed, but I realized it once I saw a message popup after login in when I came home just now.

I'd have to take the sleep mode off. (from 2 hours to Never)

Preaching Target

When we preach we preach to sinners.

把罪人,不是好人,帶進教會。
