Journal Transfer 11/23/2007: Side Effect on Those Who Believe Salvation can be Lost

For those evangelists who believe not predestination, believe that a christian could fall from saving grace, such as those who joined the church and gone astray after. As a result, these preachers are able to so confidently assure salvation of others by mere verbal testing. And when they turned from the Gospel, these evangelists would use the irresponsible excuse of affirming their believe that christians could still lose their salvation.

We can neither assure others' salvation nor reprobation. For we know not how others truly think. Our business is to assure our own, individually. For it is our personal relationship with God. It is our duty to share such grace with other christians in servitude of our Lord.

John 6:39...that of all which He has given me I should lose nothing...

God is all powerful, there's nothing God plan that cannot happen. May all glory and honor be returned to God and God alone.

Journal Transfer 01/06/2008: Rick Warren's Integrity

For some prosperity theology pastors such as Rick Warren, it would be interesting to see how he manages his multi-dimensional motives. As Abraham Lincoln once said, no man has good enough memory to be a perfect liar.[@more@]

Learning from the Best

There are two ways we can choose to look at those who are better than us.

1. We strive to learn from them, better ourselves with our best efforts.

2. We categorize them, placing ourselves in our own new category.

Unfortunately, the second approach is the fruit of jealousy and pride, masked in hypocrisy. For it assumes first of all, there can be categories, thereby using such to escape the responsibility God bestowed upon us to achieve perfection in Christ.

We should try our best efforts to better ourselves, discipline ourselves, and accept our individual limitations, which vary in measures.

Wives, Submit Yourselves unto Your Own Husbands

I have seen irony in those who do not wish to obey this verse.

I have seen full-time servant of God, not willing to submit to husband, but somehow, consistently submitted to toleration of non-biblical doctrines, submitted to worldly praises, submitted to anthropocentric theology, submitted to prosperity theology, submitted to effeminacy, submitted to gossips, to rumors, to things not of God.

There are two kings in this world that people submit to: God and the devil.

Gospel Commission vs Social Mandate

Social Mandate is an important movement the Reformed Church inspired. Nonetheless, Social mandate without gospel commission is a failed theology. With this, comes pride, jealousy and cowardice.

Wallpaper Background Loading Incomplete

In XP pro SP2, some client's wallpaper wasn't loading completely, showing only the top 10% of the screen. Occasionally, it was just a plain color with no background picture at all. One would have to manually refresh (F5) the desktop so that the full picture will be complete.

After some research, I find this seems to work:

Enable Turn on Classic Shell:

type gpedit.msc in Start->Run,

Enable "Turn on Classic Shell" in User Configuration=>Administrative Templates=>Windows Components=>Windows Explorer.

On Authority

Those who simply refuse or pretend to be humble by denying or despise their own authority, are actually equivalent to those dictatorial barbarians who abuse their authority.

For they pretend to give glory to God. But it is actually not to God the glory flows. Even so, such glory is not glory at all, it is unholy.

To Cross the Sea by a Trick

I can't seem to find a satisfactory translation for the Chinese Idiom: 瞒天过海. The closest one seems to be "To Cross the Sea by a Trick", or to practice deception.

Anyhow, this would best describe the approach of today's Evangelical Christian's, conservative or not, view towards God's guidance. Very shallow and very narrow minded.

One must not be surprised however, for different era has its own born every day. As the old saying goes: There's one born every day.

On Different Fellowships and Churches

I have no problem with people commenting on churches or fellowships. But I do have problem when people try to imply or convince others that their church or fellowship is better.

If time allows, I will try to find out how "better" their group is than others.

On Salvation and Predestination

I believe God saves us individually, through Christ.

True Salvation is not put out there as an option. For no one is worthy enough to see it but its shadow. Many, having seen this shadow of the Gospel, seek no further, for they do not realize that having recognized the knowledge of something, does not mean one has obtained it, or that one has true relationship with the Truth. In the past, I love to buy books and not read them, often times, I asked myself why I didn't read what I bought, or why I bought them in the first place.

It is the work of the Holy Spirit in individual to bring us to Christ.

We must always pray for the right relationship with God.
