Those Who Like to Teach Others

Who do you think you are? That other must learn from you?

Just because you have learned something you think is remarkable, doesn't mean that others don't know it already.

Who do you think you are? That others must respect you?

Just because you think you are showing respect, doesn't mean others should respect you back. How can you show respect, if you know not the true meaning of respect? For it would only be fake.

Christians in First World Countries

Many such Christians assume that they need not face hardship in being witness of Christ. Being witness of Christ, still yes; but laughed by others, facing persecutions for Christ, No way!

For this, often times we see Christians being jealous of other religions. Their preaching are inspired by such jealousy. Gradually, the Christ, the Love that are based on truth, dissipated...and they will blame God instead of themselves...how sad.

May God has mercy on us all.

Herod Today

Herod, a political leader of the Jews, was not of the line of Israelites, but of Idumaeans, successors of the Edomites, descendant of Esau rather than Jacob.

Nonetheless, he had authority among the Jews.

Today, it's not quite different. We have political leaders claiming to be Christians, yet full of hypocrisies and lack of faith.

Daylight Saving DST 2007

In response to Microsoft's $4k fee to businesses for DST fix, while having this free validation-free fix from microsoft (http://support.microsoft.com/dst2007) vs validation-required update also from microsoft for XP SP2,

Slashdot.org, OmnipotentEntity posted yet another savvy fix, straight to the source, the regedit:

   " $4K? How about this?

Open up regedit and go to the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Contr
ol/TimeZoneInformation

Change DaylightStart to the following
00 00 03 00 02 00 02 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
(Simply we're changing 04 to 03 and 01 to 02)

Change StandardStart to the following
00 00 0b 00 01 00 02 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
(Simply we're changing 0a to 0b and 05 to 01)

Why those changes?

DaylightStart rules:
04 becomes 03 because we're going from "April" (04) to "March" (03). 01 becomes 02 because we're going from the 1st Sunday (in April) to the 2nd Sunday (in March).

StandardStart rules:
0a becomes 0b because we're going from "October" (0a) to "November" (0b). 05 becomes 01 because we're going from the Last Sunday (in October) to the 1st Sunday (in November).

Consider that one on the house. It works for Windows 2000 at least.

For PPC (Pocket PC) Windows Mobile v5 users, this key is in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/TIME/

Escargots

Mmmm....Yum Yum.

I bought 5 ready made escargots from Whole Foods at Columbus Circle Time Warner Center. It was made with garlic and parsley butter in the shells. Microwaved for a couple minutes.

Viola, first time sampling this French cuisine appetizer.

I'd have to say, perhaps it's my inexperience in French cuisine, but somehow, it seems that all the French cooks are good at are butter, garlic and cheese.

Theology and Church are Two Things?

One major problem in churches today is that they like to separate theology from church activities, sermons, worships and Sunday Schools. They fail to see the fine line between theology and philosophy.

Theology is the seeking of God, seeking of His will. Learning of the relationships between God and His creations.

Those who said no to theology are actually those who are practicing unjust principles be it subconsciously or not.

I've seen it so many times, because of no firm theological study, problems arise in churches. When problems come, the churches, without any wise and true understanding of God's words, either retire from the problems or go to the extreme. Allowing the problems to grow and mutate. Take the cases of divorces and homosexualism in USA for instance.

When this happens, what's left are those non-Christians whom under the grace of God are given general wisdom of righteousness, stepping in to solve the problems. Even though not perfect, but the problems are solved nonetheless. Everyone would start to admire the non-Christian's standpoint, while all the Christians could do were to only say: "but we have Jesus, we have the true love here" and implode within, not able to do God's great commission by expansion.
