Unexpected Fear

If I were to be called by God to the Middle East, I have considered that the ones who would be responsible for my murder are christians. Directly or indirectly. For boldly exposing the hypocrisy of today's christian problem, especially from the west, from America.

Sinning After Salvation

Many Christians don't learn that salvation of God is not "reason" for us to sin AGAIN.

However, they understood what is holiness, righteousness and what God wants.

This means Christianity is a failure? No. This is like everyone knew the purpose of school is to obtain knowledge, but many treat it as a means to get jobs.

When order of priority is jeopardized, disasters are bound to happen.

A Time of Learning

These couple of weeks have been a great burden for me. As president of the Pastoral Search Committee, I have learned quite a few also.
Firstly, I see certain problems with the formation of the committee from a reformer's view point.

Secondly, there are presuppositions made by myself on the identity of each committee members.

And there's lots of communication skills I've learned. As well as some chinese vocabularies or phrases.

Dear Lord, I only wish to serve you and you alone. Please give me wisdom from above. Teach me when to be soft and when to be hard. You are my path of righteousness, you are my salvation. Amen.

God Will Not Suffer Us Greater Burden

1Co 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

1Co 10:13  你们所遇见的试探,无非是人所能受的。神是信实的,必不叫你们受试探过於所能受的;在受试探的时候,总要给你们开一条出路,叫你们能忍受得住。

If we are tempted, that means we are able.

Dialogue on Using Authority from God Wisely

Due to current church situation, I feel it is necessary to research and write a dialogue on using power of God, authority given by God, these are all gifts from God on those who are called.

Democracy

I believe many christians in democratic countries today, especially America, do not know the differences between democracy and "be of the same mind in the Lord (Phil 4:2)" or between democracy and theocracy. They know the differences in the meaning of the words, but not in real life.

Nonetheless, if not by the Bible alone, it is impossible to discern either.

Extremists

One way to become an extremist is to amplify a stereotypical assumption.

On Charismatics

Another confusion of terms by the Charismatics besides "faith vs self-confidence", "emotion vs filled by Holy Spirit", is "anger and holy anger".[@more@]

Stereotype

Stereotype is when it's pointing to an unexplored conclusion.

For example: Chinese people are shy. This stereotype can be true sometimes. Based on culture, one could conclude this way.

Until there's a better way to put it, a stereotypical statement is made when forced out of silence.

It is best that we think hard on the issues rather than assuming all stereotypical statements are invalid. And it is important to think before speaking. Some people could speak fast and speak right, only because they think fast. If it's "luck", that means the speech could go wrong sometimes and that's not good.

How Could Jesus Feast with Sinners

What Jesus did was humanly possible, but humanly unimaginable. He could be with sinners and not become a sinner, his love, his mercy, are unfathomable. Oh what a righteous one.

How could I be so righteous if you had not been my salvation. You have every right to condemn me. Do not lead me into evils I know not, my Lord, my Savior. God give me the strength and will to be free of sin. Sometimes even past sins tries to catch up with me. In your abundant mercy, lead me away from temptations, Lord, Amen.
