So I got a chance (by appointment) to visit the finally ready South Amboy Station Bay Apartment complex, after seeing it started construction by the train station a couple of years ago or so. I have video and documents collected in my drive.
It's more luxurious than I thought. Rent only. Ranges from $1.9k to $3k, from Studio 500 sqft to 2 bedrooms 2 baths 1.5k sqft. It basically has everything, shared gym, pool, theater, etc. Although it's not going to have a direct view at the ocean as another complex by another company will obstruct the view between this one and the beach. It's just very convenient for train as well as the allegedly coming ferry port.
Hopefully this only means good for our neighborhood, i.e. higher land value. I forgot to ask about the security of the property, as one would just want to walk in or around just for fun from time to time.
