Two types of light: Outside light - for worldly beauty; Inside light: in our heart, conscience (hati nurani), for wisdom, reverence, holiness, etc.

Tong's inner & outer lights = Chrysostom's the mind to the soul & eye to the body. Though Chrysostom went further with the eye being an important function of the body, rather than just the most beautiful part of the body.
Covid19 that destroys our taste buds, shows that God reminds us of the blessings we take for granted - taste. For one.
Interestingly, the first that opened man's eyes was Satan. As a result, two kinds: What appears wrong, is actually right; What appears right, is actually wrong.
The wicked/Satan tells you what you like to hear, though will never be responsible of what is said to you.
My take: The Left wish to believe that freedom means a choice without temporal consequence, if I choose right, I can choose left later. But that is false. They think this is scientific, which is true if you call it something else. But science does not offer the freedom they thought in life. In science, it's called experiments, not freedom of life's choices.
