"Nuke Free World" by USA

After reading one of the posting replies, I had a great laugh.

Dear USA,

Please keep your "help" to yourself.

Sincerly,

Signed: The Rest of the World

That's Matthew 7's "Judge not Others" for ya.

Obama's calling the world to cease nuclear testing is like a hit and run convict telling the rest "okay, I see how bad it is, therefore I'm responsible to tell you that you shouldn't hit people."

On Pop Musics

There's always the far right and far left in this matter. One either walks too far towards traditionism or emotionism. I believe there should be an almanac that list every modern pop music and its corresponding classical pieces that it plagiarized from.

The Unity of OT and NT

“The New Testament is in the Old Testament contained, and the Old Testament is in the New Testament explained.” -- Henrietta Mears

"In vetere testamento novum latet et in novo vetus patet" In the old covenant the new is concealed and in the new the old is revealed -- Saint Augustine

The Struggle Between Humanity and Vanity

The struggle itself, is indeed vain. For ages, we've seen the necessity for humanity to be put on the map of history, yet, for ages, we've seen the victories of humanity turn into vanity by time. Nevertheless, it is the human will, that puts a value tag on such vanity, so that there may be a mask, as if it is known by humanity, which defines the purpose of life.

Amidst the pool of vanity, lies an impossibly intricate design of perfection, which has been the pursue of man's nature to rise above vanity. Therefore, only the right understanding of such design and its Designer could take one away from vanity into the realm beyond and devoid of vanity, a realm not by human idealistic definition of any kind, and to have communion with this Designer, the source that is faithful in His own design and revelation and terms.

Economic Astronomy Sites Around NYC

There are a few places considered to be the best spots within NYC 5 borough area, such as Staten Island's GreatKills (Haven't been there yet), Brooklyn's Floyd Bennett Air Field (The best thus far), Flushing Queen's Memorial Field (nearest to my place), and perhaps Far Rockaway beach, but I wouldn't put Central Park or Bronx's Inwood Hill on the list just yet, even though I don't mind a group gathering there.

However, to get dark enough sites for viewing the Milky Way, I would suppose one needs to get as far as Montauk (via LIRR Train - 10c bus - S94 summer bus - lighthouse), CatSkill (public travel option unknown), or some unknown long island location.

After checking out google map, I have reason to believe that the golf/lake park neighboring CT's Foxwood Resort (which has a special ride from Flushing for $10 plus free meal/$55 Casino coupon) could be a dark enough place to spot the Milky Way.

The Essence of Catholicism

Today, I attended (though 30 minute late-Misread the schedule) a Chorales lecture on Bach's St. Matthew Passion by my OSNY director Kent Tritle at St. Ignatius Loyola. I must say it got me thinking about what grasp of true theological doctrine some of the Catholics have, especially when compared to any protestant Christians, from a musical perspective of course.

Although I'm not saying any Catholic is well grounded in sound doctrines, it is truly grieving when one observes protestant products greatly cherished by non-protestants while the protestants pursue after HiPeDeeHop-Yeaeaea-ee-ee-eah! musics.

Printer Slow Printing, Slow Opening of Printer Properties

Solution: Enable and then disable Printer Sharing. Simply right click printer (any printer), select Sharing, Apply, unselect Sharing, Apply, OK. (This needs to be done by Admin priviledge)

There could be a genuine solution but this is the quickest I know thus far.

Pastors are Not Pimps

I realize there seems to be one peculiar characteristic of Chinese immigrant pastors (though not all, the categorization of such is rather intriguing and currently beyond my comprehension).

God Won't Rescue World From Stupidity

Although Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams spoke of this in response to environmental threats, I would think it is a quotation for a wider scope.

On Supporting Servants of God

I have read in the Bible, through a preacher,

1. comes those who repent,
2. new preachers were born

I have however, never read that from a preacher, comes supporters whose job is to be the preacher's publicist, to find a mate for the preacher or to be as the preacher's sponsors.

This is as sick as christianity today has become. No, I'm not defaming Christianity, on the contrary, I will strive so that there be a distinction between anti-Christ and Christ.
