State of the Churches

I shouldn't test God by gambling the welfare of a church here with the state of American Christianity. Unlike some other countries, American Christianity have been so much infected by so much cults around that one just cannot presume too much anymore.

Nonetheless, it is crucial that I be like Noah, like Abraham.

Art: The Storm on the Sea of Galilee by Rembrandt

Rembrandt van Rijn

As I was searching for how there could be storms in the Sea of Galilee, I stumble upon a stolen art of Rembrandt on wikipedia. Stolen from Massachusetts' Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Stolen by theives disguised as police officers. The only seascape of Rembrandt. One can still view the frame and all minus the painting at the museum. Amazing.

Revelation 17 Prophecy

More prostitutes?

Perhaps the truth of America pertaining to Revelation 17 is not that far off after all.

I've said two generations, perhaps now it's 1.5 generation to go.

Windows XP Genuine Issue

"You May Be A Victim Of Software Counterfeiting"

Thanks to Technomatics, one of the anonymous wrote a simple solution:

In System32 of Windows folder, rename the files: wgatray and wgalogon to wgatrayold and wgalogonold

This sure saves time calling in to Microsoft for solution.

On Psalms 137:8-9

Psa 137:8 O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.
Psa 137:9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

Recently I came across an interpretation which I believe to be erroneous.

It expounded upon the fact that the psalmist was deeply troubled and therefore showing an honest declaration of sinful hatred. That the distasteful passage was not of God's oracle but of a human response.

I believe if a word is presented in the scripture without any indication of ulterior meaning before or after, we cannot simply arrive at our own conclusion based on our own emotional/moral standard. If so, we would be in danger of calling God a liar.

Only in this faith, that we can see the remarkable purity of the psalmist instead of the opposite, as well as a deeper sense of God's judgment and holiness. That we have not a single excuse in our own right to demand God's mercy.

God is not nice, but gracious. And again, God is not nice.

On Those Who Serve Without Serious Theological Pursue

My last entry on this issue condemns those who think they love to serve or serve well but ignorant of theological principles (biblical foundation).

After some careful observations and study, I believe these group are a particular kind. It is likely they are really restricted in their mental ability. So that leaves the question: Why do they love to do more than they should thinking that by doing more regardless of doctrinal responsibility, they must be doing well.

From the Bible, we know that such people like Peter, Uzah and the Ananias couple, received serious rebuke and condemnation from God.

My observation shows me that these people love to ignore subjects when they need to learn them, hence, they are left only with reprimands.

It would appear that the best way out for them is like Peter, able to accept Jesus' rebuke, Paul's rebuke, and cherish those rebukes as he exhibited in his later epistles.

If however, that these people return the reprimands with ignorance (it is my belief that these group are not the kind that would return with vengeance), even to the point of total disconnection, then, they may be walking on dangerous ground.

Hypocritical Support

I'm very concern about when people say they support me. For I need to know if their support was real or not, even to the point of whether they knew their support was real or not. Then, after that, I can feel the responsibility of making the choices of accepting their support or not.

AVG antivirus for Windows Server 2008

Thanks to Win2008Workstation, this is finally resolved.

Something to do with AVG installer checking windows registry for "server" or just regular "WinNT". And the easy fix is edit AVG installer so it is tricked.

"Resolution:
1) We must get to the avgsetup.exe first and foremost. When you run the
original download, it actually extracts a folder to a temp folder. The
easiest way to get to it is to run the program and wait until it gets
to the first screen then STOP. At the initial setup screen, open task
manager, right-click on avgsetup.exe in the processes list and choose
“Open file location”. Quit the setup and then copy the entire folder
from the temp folder to your desktop for ease of use. The folder
contains avgsetup.exe as well as other setup files.

2) We must create an alternate key that AVG will look at to check
whether we are a desktop or server. In regedit (or whatever you use),
insert a new key named “ProductOption2″ under the
“HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control” tree. Since I did not want to
add any length to the avgsetup.exe upon editing, I simply replaced the
“s” in “ProductOptions” with a “2”.

3) Under that new key of “ProductOption2″, insert a new REG_SZ String named “ProductType” and change it to “WinNT”.

4) Use a hex editor (I used notepad++ with the hex-editor plugin) to
edit avgsetup.exe and replace the two instances of “ProductOptions”
within the EXE to “ProductOption2″. Make sure that it matches your key
you made in step #2 and also that it does not exceed the length of the
original (we dropped the “s” and added a “2″). Changing the EXE forces
the setup program to look at your new key instead of the real key.

5) Save it and run setup as normal. It should go right past the original “You’re installing on a server blah blah” error."

User Cannot Change Password in Vista Home

Don't allow user to change password. While it is easily done via lusrmgr.msc in advanced versions of Vista, Vista Home edition has a different approach, thanks to Windows Vista Forums.

cmd console must be started under administrator, not just any admin account. So, to start this, either use the Run As... or "Ctrl-Shift-Enter" after typing "cmd" in Start-Run prompt.

Then, type in: net user username /Passwordchg:no

and hit Enter.

Converting Goat into a Sheep HAHAHA

Nicely put by Paul Washer, "we spent 5 minutes converting and spent 50 years trying to disciple a goat into a sheep!".
