Someone once said that the most stupid Christians in today's world are Americans.
I agree partially.
Ergo, it is my very privilege to the dignity of not being an American.
It is not a curse particularly for Americans. However, it is a more general form of nature of the fallen anthropological progression.
When a nation is at its height, it will be proud, and with their pride, God has blinded them.
Therefore, I do not say this just for America, but for any other power empire throughout our history. The Babel dwellers, the Israelites, the Greek and the Romans, Great Britain, and many European countries. Of course, for the Israelites, they are special, it is God's medium to illustrate God's righteousness and grace and wisdom.
It is crucial for the Jews to realize that without the blood of Jesus Christ, they cannot be part of this final covenant.

September 11, 2001 America was attacked. It is ironic, that ever since the American government has been so focused on their immigration law, the Mexican borders, that they cannot avoid something as big as 911.
Why?
Because it cared for its materialistic face more than anything else. "Oh! the Mexicans crossed over our borders illegally to get jobs, stealing away our jobs!" "Oh! This foreigner steals our jobs!" "That foreigner steals our jobs!"
These jobs are merely the kind of jobs no American would want because they are of minimum wages, legally. When the Americans slacking around spending away their inheritance, being jealous of seeing non-Americans saving money for family the hard way, they began to pervert the very value of American Motto in ethnicity. That is by welcoming immigrants of all nations in the hope of building a stronger nation, the diversity in America would achieve a quality that's both progressing and edifying.
So instead of focusing on the real threat, they want to put on cosmetics on their faces. Who could they blame?

In our modern world, besides non-Christians, there are many Christians who are like Uzzah.
They think as long as they sacrifice the time to support, to console, to help, to comfort, etc. they are doing a "good" thing.
Big news, take a look at Uzzah, who helped securing the Ark of God (2 Samuel 6:6).
It is better to be useful to God within His Grace than to be useful to God outside of His Grace.
When someone is hurt emotionally, one thinks as long as the support one gives makes that someone feel "unhurt", he or she is doing the right thing. Know ye not the difference between happiness and licentiousness.
Sometimes I ask myself, why are the Christians today getting dumber and dumber? We've rejected God's teaching, we've ignored the seasons, we've rearranged the order of things God intended, leaving non-Christians the opportunity to be a little more righteous than the children of God. What is sad is, even when we realized this, we are satisfied and happy with what we have realized.
This is not for all to know. Which is why I have been very critical about the Americans. They have the resources, they have the education, yet they are acting like barbarians. There could be a time, when we "foreigners" need to be prepared to save America.
