Math Enthusiasts

I've come across a few of people who claim they like mathematics, but are actually cranks. Cranks are those who say funny things (but without kidding) like: Square of 2 is 4, therefore the Square of X is X + X.

I supposed the funniest one is one from India years ago. Unfortunately I have forgotten his name or I would have included here. Met him during a dinner at Drexel University. A graduate student obtaining his Master's degree in Mathematics. We talked, I brought up the term 'conjecture' as something that's most challenging. He told me that they solve conjectures in India all the time, since High School.

I would have told him to read a dictionary or asked him to solve the twin-prime conjecture. But I supposed a graduate student deserves his pride to some point.

The only Indian mathematician I admire is Ramanujan. And I'm sure Ramanujan knew what a conjecture is.

I supposed the next time I hear someone telling me that he or she likes math, I should probably test them first.

Second Class Psychology

The psychotherapy of the world is a rather slow treatment and it's usually without result. Hence, second class. Our Lord Jesus could turn a sinner righteous over one dinner, hence, definitely better than the second class.

Unfortunately, many so called Christian psychologists seek after the second class as the best, and after their academic pursue, period. Why not seek after God's class? The Bible? Theologically.

Why should they? If they seek not.

Why should they? If they thought what they sought is the first class by attaching a few verses from the Bible into their academic study.

Isaac Asimov Debate 2007

AHHHHH!!!!! I can't believe I missed the March 26th Isaac Asimov Debate. I bought the ticket for $12 months ago just because it's such a hot seat and I missed it all completely!!!! I thought I had my calendar to remind me...and I just realized it today! Stupid, Stupid.

I think I also missed another NASA event on the 27th.

I just need to remember to return the classical CDs to the library by the 29th.

Boy, outlook calendar, you either rely on it completely or you don't at all. No 50/50 dependency.

Solving Rubik's 3x3x3 the Fastest Way

Although knowing how to solve it using the very basic method, which is the layer-order-method, I have come across other quicker methods out there, which are used in speed cubing and competitions.

I for one would be very interested in theoretically finding the best solution rather than creative methods.

Now for a 3X3X3 original Rubik's cube, its atomic structures can be categorized into 3 groups:

1. The Absolute Centers (having only one face/color)

2. The Relative Centers (having two faces/colors)

3. The Corners (having the most, three faces/colors)

If there is truly a theoretically fastest method out there, then I haven't really stumble upon one that would have the simplest teaching demonstration. This project is intended for such.

This research begins now(Solving Cube with patterns as faces will need to be addressed later on):

All I know for now, is that the Absolute Centers are fixed. Hence, we can already tell which sides each 6 faces of the Cube should placed respectively.

A good aiding tool is the flash program of the cube located at this site:

I would love to find a standalone version.

On Theocracy

Of course, it would be the best to have theocracy. It is what the Bible teaches.

Nevertheless, as much as any pious Christian wants it, we cannot make theocracy. Only God can do that.

It is tempting, that although we cannot make theocracy, we can however, reject theocracy, because all men have fallen.

Preachers in America

The preachers in the "Great" America are either begging suckups or jealous dictators.

The good Christianity value in America is merely a reflection from the past, not a continuation.

That is the sad part.

I myself sometimes am prone to either sides, especially the jealous part, it is something I must be watchful of.

May God have mercy upon all of us.

God's Promise in Salvation

God's Promise in Christ Jesus is salvation.

The promise is assured, as long as we be watchful.

If not, how can this even be called faith?
