Blind nation

America and those within are truly blinded.

Materialists denying materialisms.

I must end my time here soon. When I decided to stay, I decided intentionally. To gain what materialistic matter there is to gain, to see what greatness there is supposed to be. And only come to realize now, that I am nothing. It is done.

Could the days of this continent be numbered? Could President Washington's vision come to be? If so, I'd be damned for realizing this and still be here while better matters await me elsewhere.

This quotes the words of Abraham Lincoln, the greatest President of the United States of America, appointing Thursday, 30th of April, 1863, as a National Fast Day:

"We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!

It behooves us then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness."

Am I really Jonah?

Oh, how could I follow a fallen path? No.

Jonah was great in sharing his failure, I must melt my hatred for men with love. However, I must not replace my hatred for sins with comforts.

John Lennon's Imagine

Imagine there's no heaven?

Imagine there's no hell?

Who are you kidding?

Now
the world has resolved to cowardly act in achieving peace. The battle
of the end is near, where the war of the unseen shall surface.

Bill Clinton with Israeli Singer, Liel, together with 40 Palestinian & 40 Israeli Children, singing that song.

This song is even inscribed at the world's largest Cathedral, St. John the Divine, New York.

Seems that peace can only be achieved if God is taken out of the picture.

Sigh...A better world as one apart from God? Sounds like Babel. I do say, you're a dreamer. Thanks to you, you're not the only one.

May God have mercy on all of us.
Oh God, please remember your everlasting kindness and mercy, for they are ever of old.
May God's elected children be proclaimed! Palestinians, Israelites and others alike.

Amen.

Labor

Oh Timothy, Oh Timothy...

What are you moiling about? Why?

How long are you going to keep this up?

Do you ever stop and plan more carefully?

Do you ever meditate? Do you ever do it anymore?

Are you so blinded by worldly things that you are so fretful?

What then if they are not worldly matters?

Oh Timothy!

You have eyes, see!

You have ears, hear!

You have a head, think!

How could you be wrong, if people got saved?

One says: How can my methods be wrong? How can my ways be unbiblical? Don't they believe and got saved because of me? Because of my method? As long as I don't "sin", I am doing the right thing.

To answer this, I only have one stumbling block for you:
Judas Iscariot was sent to spread God's glory, do you think there are those who were saved by God via Judas' preaching?

Do you really think Judas betrayed Jesus because he hated Jesus? It would seem that Peter would be more likely to hate Jesus, by human standard. Yet, none knew who to point but himself when Jesus told them about his betrayal.

You might say, Judas, the treasurer, betrayed Jesus because of greed. But let me ask you again, did Judas also hated Jesus? disliked Jesus? or could he also be greedy, and still want to be on Jesus' side? After all, Jesus is the miracle worker, nothing is impossible for Him, not even getting out of any captivity.

Oh do not be so quick to judge. It is not a matter of hating or not hating.

Salvation belongs to God and God alone.

We preach, we spread the gospel because we as christians are supposed to do so. Not because for our salvation's sake. How bright do you think the Glory of God is?

Woe to those who sleep! Weakness is not a comfort

Wake up!!!

Do not use weakness as comfort, do not use it as encouragement.

It is unbiblical. We are soldiers, not perverts.

A soldier knows who his enemy is and who his friends are.

We must be forgiving to men, but not to erroneous teaching, faith and doctrine.

How Business Works under God? Ah, But that one thing that obstructs me!

Time...I know, I calculate, I established with confidence.

People...I also know. I examine, I analyze, and often my conclusion has not been too far from the truth.

But money...ah yes, money. I have run into a wall, a brick wall. I cannot be too generous, or my clients will take advantage. Nor can I be ungenerous, for I am a Christian and I have the Lord's commission and honor at hand. And the only way is through the Bible. What then? How can business be business and other matters be other matters. What fools have such saying? Are not all things to be done to the glory of God?

Nonetheless, one thing I am sure. Quality is first. Many obviously knew this. But knowing is different than working. Descartes' "Cogito, Ergo Sum", I shall rephrase it to be "Cogito et Actus, Ergo Sum". So you are what you know and how you respond. Do you use what you know to your own advantage? what is your motive? to be truly honest? or to be "legally" "honest"?

Yes, I admit, I am short in this last part. I therefore need to learn and find the truth from God through His word, the Bible. But I also am aware that many others who thought they were not, were indeed. Oh, so many have been wearing masks of honesty and dignity and pride for so long they forgot to take off those masks and look real good into a mirror. For who do you think you are before the righteous Judge?

Eating Blood

In oriental culture, bloods are eaten in their precipitate state. I
lovED eating blood too at one time, one too many times. And I WAS already Christian. I WAS
using ICorinthians chapter 8 as my alibi.

However, eating blood is not a matter of who has stronger conscience, but a matter of theology.

Drinking/Eating Blood, in the old testament, is forbidden.

In
the new testament, Jesus said: John 6:53 Verily, verily, I say unto
you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye
have no life in you. (我實實在在的告訴你們,你們若不吃人子的肉,不喝人子的血,就沒有生命在你們裡面。)

And
that in Acts 15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to
lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things...

Since this has been of the Holy Spirit, why would I keep eating blood?
And
since I know that blood is life, and the real life for men is Jesus
Christ, thus His blood, the blood he shed on the cross, how can I think
of His blood sacrifice while eating others' blood? Unless I do not
think of such. But, all things I do, I do to the glory of God,
ICorinthians 10:31. So I must be thinking something else to not have
known this; how can I think of something else if I'm a child of God? I
must seek His countenance always.

However, there are times blood
cannot be avoided in food, such as blood in chicken bones, beef soups,
etc. And there are times where blood is used for medical purposes.
Abstaining from blood in this case would be obtuse(Mat 15:17, 1Cor
8:8). But this is different from deliberately eating blood piece by
piece when you got other choices.

Now,
eating blood and food
sacrificed to idols are not quite the same things. The
Israelites were very easily influenced by idols worshipping neighbors
before their exile to Babylon. One is to be holy, idol worshipping
is obviously not right in the sight of God, and therefore, it is
crucial that their minds were not corrupted and remain holy to God.
Only after their Babylon Exile, was it more clear that all idols are
nothing compared to God. So what 1Corinthians Chapter 8 was saying is
that there are still some, because being used to idols worshipping,
they still believed that those idols are great enough to have some
authority over their food, and therefore they fear that they would
offend the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob.

Hence
it is clear now that these two statements should make sense: We DO EAT
because those sacrificed to idols are just food, and has nothing to do
with the idols for the idols are nothing compared to God. We DO NOT EAT them only because it has something to do
with the idols. Then, it is clear that we do all these, in honor of God.

But
eating blood has nothing to do with idols WHATSOEVER. So it is a rather
different case. Acts 15's ORIGINAL TEXT did not specifically say Not to
EAT food sacrificed to Idols. But rather, implying keeping away from
any thing that are of the idols, worshipping idols, sacrificing to
idols, pollution of idolatry, even to the extend of admiring fantasy
life and worldly riches. However, it did mention about abstaining from
blood, and strangled things. The latter, which I just learned last Sunday, is
related to blood being trapped in a strangled animal.

So now it
should be clear to understand these 2 statements: We DO NOT EAT BLOOD because it is for remembrance of
the blood Christ has shed, the holy communion we have been partaking,
and that we want the eternal life from Christ, not from beasts. We CAN EAT BLOOD because
we have NO CHOICE AND it does not defile us. Therefore, such restriction, I do not believe that it should be considered absolute.

For me, not only abstaining from eating of blood keeps me focus on Christ, it
will also be a great testimony of Christ to gentiles and new christians
alike.
