HP Compaq DC 7900 Automatic Reboots after Shutdown

NYGC-LAB PC station #6, HP Compaq DC7900, having consistent autoreboot problem & HDD failed #10/DPS Self-Test Failed Completion Code: 4 error, in BIOS. Resetting CMOS battery didn't seem to help. Defaulting the BIOS didn't seem to help. But when I disable WAKE-ON LAN booting, HDD error is gone! Even though consistent autoreboot still persists.

After also Disabling NIC PXE Option ROM Download in the same BIOS page, the auto reboots problem are gone.

It may not be relevant, but I will also note that I have used non-built-in Ethernet card for this.

Marriage Ban

Now they want to call it the gay marriage ban. They just keep getting foolisher every time. Calling it marriage ban is like calling it admission ban when students have been disqualified for enrollment. It is broken language.

Anger Management

Tim Keller got it where Bill Gothard failed.

In his Proverbs Series sermons on Anger "The healing of Anger", Keller contrasted that to never be angry is a sin; while quick to anger is also sinful.

Proverbs 16:32 - Slow to anger...I supposed James 1:19 is modeled after that verse.

Keller like most reformed expositors, take the scripture and use it to measure our daily lives. Gothard creatively came up with an idea and find scriptural verses to support his ideas. So, it is very different.

Last but not least, a quote from Keller:

"To never be angry, is to never have love for anything."

There's even a command to be angry. Eph 4:6. Some translations water down this a little bit.

Dramatic photos turned into Christian lies...again

Only the unrepentant ones would do this, despite calling themselves Christians.

A post goes viral online, especially on Facebook, about a "Christian" smiling at the moment of hanging. As if he welcomed death happily as a martyr.

It is obvious, any unsourced article such as this is usually fake. The real character was a murderer (Majid Kavousifar), not a Christian.

christian-religion

To publicize something like this, is not doing any favor. It is not supporting Christianity, regardless of any good intention. It is a lie and therefore one makes God a liar. It is a serious crime.

"Oh, but I didn't know. I am only sharing what I heard." If one cannot be responsible for a fact one is communicating, it is best not to do that. Otherwise, it' not only irresponsible, but also lazy (do your own homework first).

"Okay, I will post a real true article, but I will remove the source." This is just simply rebellious. It is still manipulating the truth by hiding the truth.

Waiter Rule

There is a saying that "If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person". I've seen a few being mean to waiters while having a upstanding behavior towards friends. That is always a good reminder.

Why was Peter Rebuked by Jesus?

"Christianity is hard when we try to serve God in man's way instead of serving God in God's way." AW Tozer

What is sin?
