Those Christians who only give money in the Church

There are those Christians who think their only job in the church is to give offering. They are making a mockery of those who serve in the church.

The Republican and The Democrat Challenge for Christians

It is well known that conservative Christians are generally GOP supporters. And the Liberal Christians the Democrats.

The liberal Christians are falling away from the Christian post they claim to uphold, because they seek not God but merely what God says.

The conservative Christians are branching out into many extremes because they seek to conform God's words into their will and not their will to God's.

For the liberal type, some wishes to make their Christian title sound by following the likes of Karl Barth and retain the use of "evangelism" in the form of Social Gospel. The end result would be hoping to be sociable but live in isolation and anthropocentric lifestype, correspondingly.

I find it interesting...as if God is playing a lesson upon the conservative Christians, with the only choice of presidential candidate to be a Mormon, in the Republican camp, while they had been used to accuse Obama of being a liberal. Bush and McCain could easily be categorized as "conservative Christians", but a Mormon? Well, "well..." is what their preachers and pastors are saying.

It is the wisdom of God, I believe, to let it be shown, clearly, the ulterior motives of men. One can easily claim orthodoxy but one will never be able to hide one's true motive for long.

I do not believe a president must be a professing Christian to be the best president either, but I am very curious to see how conservative Christians justify themselves in maintaining their stand, theologically. Many discerning orthodox Christian groups around the world would likely disassociate themselves from the Ameristians on this issue alone.

On Adoption principle

It is crucial for adoptive parents to instill the different cultural attributes of the adopted child, should he/she comes from parents of a different culture and the identity of the culture is known.

Otherwise, it is very irresponsible of the adoptive parents, not to mention proud.

To Home School or not to Home School

I understood home school as only parents are the teachers of their children.

Of course, now the concept of homeschool is popularly associated with private school. In America, they have a body of association that determines materials for homeschoolers. Discipline is always necessary, whether is is from inside or outside. Most parents cannot follow certain schedule due to mainly other schedule demands, private schools are resulting preference when public schools are rejected as being too much bad influences. However, it is still necessary to differentiate private school from homeschool.

People go to private schools to get better education than what public schools can offer. Not isolation from society, which is what homeschoolers ideology tend to fall for, if it is not the ulterior motive.

Many Southern Americans do homeschool to keep their children from influenced by other "cultures". There is a danger in this kind of notion. Should the resulting child protrays a godly goodness to the society, then it is good. Though many examples have display just the opposite, a discrimination of cultures that are different, not to mention races.

I do not fancy the pop culture of homeschooling today. A decent public school has many pros. What's essential, is that the parents remain the ultimate source of a child's education, companionship and mentorship. No work or business should interfere that.

Adobe Flash problem in Firefox, while no problem in IE or Chrome

It seems to have to do with the latest update of Flash. Maybe even Firefox. Because while working fine in Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, Flash player doesn't work in Firefox lately. Especially after a flash update.

I fixed the problem on my desktop but have forgotten to report it in my journal. Now, I have to research the whole thing online again for the same problem on my laptop.

There are several suggested, but I like the one by Tylerdowner:

Uninstall Flash player. Restart your pc. Then, download http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_plugin_32bit.exe and install it (I'm assuming you are running Windows). also make sure you are running Firefox 11.

Note: Use the uninstaller of flash player to uninstall, it is better that way.

The solution is basically to use Flash version 11.2.202 instead of 11.3.

On Apologetics and Ministry and Gospel

For 2Timothy 4:2, "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine."

  a deeper meditation is necessary.

Since it has to do with both rebuke and longsuffering, I shall generalize it simply this:

When it concerns personal influence, association of reputation in fellowship, and false doctrnes are preached, then there must be head on collision.

When it is but discussion, preaching, teaching, preparing to agree to disagree, non-association of ministry, there is no need to attack the vipers but merely question to reveal their own folly.

On the side note, recent talk with my mother on a particular group of the "non-judgmental" type called BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) urged me to take on this group. Since it so much emphasizes on not being a denomination, I'll not be too anxious to call it anything but a particular fellowship group. After all, to be qualified to be called a denomination, a group needs to be willing to have fellowship with other denominations in both similarities and especially dissimilarities, not a rejection of all other denominations and claiming themselves the only ones biblical.

But I need not take on another non-denomination group. Its shallowness and problems have been well documented everywhere. And I have already covered similar errors.

Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata Level

The grade skill needed for each movement of Moonlight Sonata is as listed (by Irish - LoonY):

1st movement - 5/6 but requires that extra special something to make it unique (harder than it looks too! especially with bringing out the melody in the right hand)

2nd movenet - 7, former Grade 7 piece

3rd movement - DipABRSM Extremely dexterous technique needed here!
