Poor Models

I have only this much support for the modeling industry, for it is mostly vanity.

However, it is an interesting look into a model's world view from this article: That they make 1k-5k a show and highly freelance dependent. And many times the cause of Anorexia.

It is not a good fulltime job for the wearers of designs. Which is no wonder many took up a second job. A very common one is being a photographer.

A way to cure cancer?

Using genetically altered immune system, it seems to work on a Leukimia patient.

I'm half excited because as good as the cure is, it is also quite technical.

Capsule Room, Hotel/Hostel/Motel

I've read about this before and I think I don't mind staying in such a place on a tour for $26 a night.

Wish they have something similar here in the States, or Montauk. Puts most motels out of business.

Recalling Old Old things from the past...(movies/films, stories, etc.)

Thief of Bagdad (1961) - A thief in search of a blue rose to save his princess.

Gulag (1985) - POW in Russia escaped by illusion in train car.

(Outerspace visitors landed in 19th-20th century what seems like Arabian dessert...title forgotten)

Retreat Related

I remember this last dream.

It's a setting similar to the Tri-State Bible Camp retreat, at the BBQ area, though the arrangement of stools and tables are different, such that there's a stage and empty space in the middle.

I might have been second in charge.

There was someone trying to present something. But the cheeky (quite unlike the CCCNY group) crowd (no specific face remembered) young and old took the presentation another way, musically or rhythmically so that it is distracting the true intention of the presentation. The one in charge, I think, turned to me, "Do something". So I stood up, yelled "HEY!!!" in an angry tone and everyone silenced and looked at me. Then with a low and attempted calm tone I said "Let's pay attention to the presentation" (or something like that, I cannot remember the exact statement I made". Everything seems to go on peacefully. And then I think I woke up.

Should have jotted this down sooner for memory's sake.

Why would my dream perceived this group as such mischievous bunch is a mystery.

RCA of America

Sometimes I think that most old loyal members of the Reformed churches in America joined RCA churches not because of the key ingredient of the reformation movement, but as a closest way for them to cherish their 'traditional inheritance' while free of the Roman Catholic or the pope's supervision.

So in the end, they cannot admit the great commission as preaching the Gospel to strangers but seek after social gospel instead.

Church Elderly Today

Some traditional church elderly's legacy is how well they've run away from hardship. And their suffering was how they ran away from hardship.

On another several occasions, I've heard "as long as they attend Sunday service"...as if that would justify everything. If the church they attend is that of the extreme, or some charismatic frenzy type, I'd say it is better for them to go to bars and night clubs than to attend these. For those in the bars could still say "I regret and shall turn my way around"; but the former would reply "This is the way I worship God, this is how the Spirit works, better than your Bible and your way".

God of the Gaps and Gap Theory

These two are different.

God of the Gaps fills in with God's acts, all the processes where one believes to be supernatural.

Gap theory describes the existence of missing period between Genesis 1:1 & 1:2.

Book Review: The Reason for God by Timothy Keller

I have not read it but a few articles I came across noted the author's theistic evolutionist stand.

"4. While Keller makes some good arguments against atheistic evolution,
unfortunately, he is a strong proponent of theistic evolution (pp.
87-88, 92-95, 128-129). This fact strips most of his creationist
arguments of their power.
