Abandoned Babies in American Hospital

According to USAToday, Nebraska Hospital has taken 24 abandoned babies since July. At this rate, I supposed child adoption procedure isn't going to be hard.

Turkish Coffee

I think Turkish Coffee is rather strong. Probably attributed to my late sleep last night after a dinner at my Israeli client's place.

New York Botanical Garden

Yesterday, I visited the garden at the Bronx for the first time. I am very impressed.

Having both landscape architectural design as well as natural look. The Brooklyn Botanical Garden is nothing by comparison. This is a perfect location for a peaceful resting, studying, etc. Free admission on Wednesdays and Saturday mornings. Doesn't seem as crowded as Central Park or even the Brooklyn garden. The only drawback is that it's too far up in the Bronx.

So far, there are two waterfalls in New York City that I know of, one by one of Bronx Zoo entrances, another one, a very nice one, in the New York Botanical Garden. They are not big, but pleasant enough. I wouldn't consider Central Park's couple of mini-falls as waterfalls.

Allahu Akbar!

Busy Week, Honest Pay

Too many clients these couple of weeks is affecting my schedules.

Eventhough a lot of my hours are based on loose estimates, in all fairness, I have maintained a principle: always charging for no more than less hours:

If I'm late, I will charge less. If I feel I could have done certain tasks in lesser hours than had actually taken me, I would charge according to the right hours.

Some are very generous, I am careful not to take advantage of them. The temptation has crossed my mind a few times, but I must maintain my principle. Even if they are not aware of my schedules. For it is a matter between me and God.

In Luke 16:9, Jesus said "make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness", He does not mean for us to be dishonest even if it doesn't seem harmful to anyone, but that we use the money in our hand in a way that it is just money, not something we view highly of, thus the term "mammon of unrighteousness", and that we are to use it faithfully and wisely before our God, even in the smallest tasks or the least amount.

Many have said, money can't buy everything. But I would say: Money can't buy anything.

So, if anyone asks me of my salary, I need not refuse to answer, for I can either give them the right number or simply answer: No more than I deserve.

Churches Promote Pop Songs?

An article in ChristianToday is just an example of what happens when churches become lazy in preaching.

I would like to see these Bishops form a choir singing "Imagine there's heaven, imagine there's no hell, no religion, imagine there's no God too..."
