Economic Crisis Would Cause Decrease in Free Services/Open Source

According to Slashdot, some attributed the availability of free services, to a society without much poverty problem and having too much extra time.

Understandable; Nonetheless, if this happens, the true value of human nature vs individuals will be revealed.

Historically, I'm sure there are countless repititions of such perpetual shifts.

Wisdom and Submission, Leaders and Servants, Co-workers

The importance of one's rank in God's Kingdom is proportional to his fear and submission to God.

I have no problem co-working with those who have different opinions or cause me more works and worries. However, I will definitely not co-work with those who deny or refuse their respective ranks and titles while practicing the tasks of such to show their humility. Only a heart of pursueing God's TRUE Kingdom could change them.

Now that I look back, I couldn't believe I have to elaborate even such thing. Perhaps this is the influence of Ameristian culture, producing childish workers, and I have gotten myself caught in the middle of it.

May God keep me to His path in mercy and truth.

Real Teachers

USATODAY reports new growing treatment (experimental) for encouraging teachers in the States. I must say I am very pessimistic about it. Salary based on level of degree, students' test scores, seniority, etc. may help in some ways, however, it may not work well in the long term. Basically, teachers and students would learn how to be spoiled. Americans love to solve everything with money alone, instead of proper research which costs more heartaches, headaches and suffering in addition to $.

On the other hand, their failure may encourage REAL teachers to step in, silently, and with temperance.

The Beginning of Serious Astronomy Study

I shall use my gallery as one of the tools in my study. I have created a new "Astronomy" category in my journal for all entries pertaining to such.

After countless try, I finally got one camera shot I am impressed with. It was just too cold and I figured out the right technique for my situation at the last minute. Jupiter wasn't around anymore for me to capture a clean clearer shot.

The main trick for this Afocal coupling method was the focus of eyepiece must be done after camera hook up to eyepiece. For now, I am doing it all by hand. Perhaps I'll make enough money to get some sort of adapter for the camera in order to shoot even clearer images as well as nebulae.

Melamine Scandal

With the recent Melamine scandals in Asia, I sometimes wonder the validity of the so called higher traditional moral value of the Chinese.

Is Western culture/technology to be blamed for this kind of corruption as if the unintended opium war? or perhaps the Chinese civilization had been spared under the universal grace of God until now?

Someone Who Has Much to Hide

If someone loves to respond:" How do you know..." after being criticized by others' careful judgment, that usually shows that this person has a lot to hide in his or her life.

Was Paul Married?

Many (especially immigrant or anthropocentric preachers?) presume that Paul was
married because they first tried to speculate Paul was a Rabbi or a
member of Sanhedrin from certain parts of the Bible and then referring
to the Judaic tradition which favors a married Rabbi or Sanhedrin
member because as some believe, a married man would be more "merciful".

Therefore,
their conclusion would be that Paul's wife either left him when he
became Christian or that she has passed away, as he had identified
himself with widows, but also with the unmarried. (1 Corinthians 7:8)

I
would not have problem with the speculation of Paul being a Rabbi or a
member of Sanhedrin, but I would question the historical origin of this
traditional Jewish belief on who must be married. According to Third Millenium Website, the first recorded account that is still in existence today of such requirement postdates Paul.

If Jesus had corrected so many of the Jewish
"evolved" traditions in the first century A.D. despite their ignorance, so that they see the true meaning
of the Mosaic Laws, then it is fair to conclude that aside from the
Bible, especially the Mosaic Laws, any "new" Judaic traditions or
requirements should not be held so reliable to their historical
accuracy and loyalty.

Now on account of Paul's marital state, it
would be rather strange that he had not mentioned the existence of his wife if he had at
anytime gotten married, whether that had been be a happy marriage or
not, but instead, he had emphasized on his celibate life as to
encourage widows and the unmarried, thus indentifying with Jesus'
statement in Matthew 19:12 "Eunuchs for the Kingdom of Heaven's sake".

Therefore,
to say that Paul was married, would require one to trust other sources
such as the Judaic traditions or a lot of conviction that one can
presume "A" if the Bible never says "A" is not true.

I personally believe that Paul was never married, based on 1Corinthians 9:5. "Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?
" For this is a good testimony of Paul's particular authority. It might not have been a
good witness if it leaves room for others to challenge him: "Have you
not power to do such? Well your wife left you!" or "You stayed single
because you miss your wife!".

Celibacy is a giving up by
calling, not by vow or rules of office as the hypocritical Papists
would like their priests to believe. Biblical Celibacy is not lacking
affection towards or treating the opposite sex as dull or uninteresting
creation of God, but a matter of priority of God's Kingdom, a special
priority given to not all believers but some to obey. Some have even
gone as far as treating celibacy as similar to the presumed "biological
defect" of homosexuals, which is ridiculous because if one pretends
himself long enough to be disgusted by the opposite sex or denying the
beautiful relationship between husband and wife, he has covered himself
with a pride that questions against God's perfect creation.

Bottom
line, the real question would be, why would one be so insistent that
Paul was married? If the purpose of such is only to refute the belief that
"Paul was not married", then it is better for them to say "I am uncertain if Paul was married or not" instead.

Location of the Garden of Eden

I found this interesting online article after listening to Dr. Richard Pratt's lecture on the Old Testament. Wished I was there because he obviously used a map during his lecture. But the website I found is likely a similar research.

I had always thought the Garden of Eden was around the head of the Persian Gulf, but the location of the garden in Israel is...more Biblically correct and sound.

It is interesting that the four rivers in Genesis 2 could be identified as the Red Sea(Gihon), long dried up but still detectable "Kuwait River" as if cutting across the Saudi Arabia Desert in half from West to East(Pison), Tigris(Hiddekel) and Euphrates. This would make the "River" in Genesis 2:10 the ancestor of Jordan River.

The article went on to suspect that the Great Rift Fault system is related to Eber's (Ancestor of the Hebrews) son Peleg (Meaning Earthquake), for in his days was the Earth divided. (Genesis10:25)

Cowards and Retards

These, my definitions for Coward and Retard,

Coward: One who only uses others' judgments and testimonies instead of their own discernment, so that the responsibilities and blames automatically default to others and not himself or herself.

Retard: One who seeks not after God's Will diligently in truth and fear of God. Seeking after God's heart has to be a continuous process for believers and is always done not according to one's own passion but the passion of Christ which is stored by the Holy Spirit within oneself.
