On Co-Working with People

There are two kinds of people I would never co-work with:

Cowards and retards. And of course, it is not wise to co-work with people you don't know. However, if being scammed into such, one must first repent for the stupidity of such failure and be patient, for the honor of God.

Jesus Never Pampers

Jesus Christ has never pampered anyone. Christians today need to realize that.

On Celibacy by Marcy Hintz

An article from Christianity Today gave a good reflection upon today's view towards celibacy. Introducing Rodney Clapp's Families at the Crossroads.

"Evangelical pastors justify the celibate life with those passages, but hardly ever promote it as a desirable calling."

It is the problem with today's churches, mainly the evangelicals of the West, that have embraced an autonomous worldly view towards romance and even celibacy, that has caused problems in marriages, christian social standards, etc., just as the case with selecting worship musics today.

This is actually a historical repetition of human flaw within the church. Like what some have said, that the problem of the Roman Catholic church persecuting Galileo wasn't because of the preservation of the tradition of the church, but because of the infusion of the autonomous Aristotelian view into the church.

Seminary Studies

If I am to enroll into a Seminary Institution, its rate in granting graduations is something I would never overlook. I would not learn from some institutes that simply grant everyone graduation.

Gas Problem For Churches?

Like I said before, too much resources spent on minor issues...these people talking about ways of facing challenges for Sunday drivers due to gas price...

Perhaps Rev. A.W. Tozer would have something to say about this.

Suicide Rate in America

It would appear that events pertaining to suicide has escalated recently in America. Even in the community of military units. I believe this is a failure of churches not doing things that matters, spending too much time and energy in minor things. It seems that other than quoting classical doctrinal phrases, the churches/institutions here could do nothing more than having concerts and parties.

On Greeting

The Americans love to greet with "How are you?"

Not that I don't have care, but I rarely say this unless necessary.

To greet, the Chinese have it "Peace be with you", "你好",  the English, "Good day!", "Good morning, etc".

"How are you" is a practice for the hypocrites.

"Cast not Christ in our own image", very well put by author Stephen Nichols. Author of Jesus Made in America. This is going to my library, thanks to Christianity Today.

Conclusion on Some Unconverted Ministers?

I have a conclusion on those who are, perhaps even enthusiastically, involved in mission outreach in one way or another, without proper theological foundation: They seem to have problem with honoring at least one of their parents. And usually, they are being spoiled by another parent.

I wonder, how close am I in hitting this bull's eye?
