3D Solar Cells by a 12-year old?

While there are commercially advanced 3D solar cells, and college competitions on building solar cars, this amazing kid came up with one that's 9 times more powerful than what the research industries could come up with. Now global warming is less threatening...

I wonder what makes his solar cells tick?

On Business: Partnership and Hiring

I once came across a title of a lecture that warned against having
business partnerships. It was a video cassette at my church's (NYCCC)
library, but the tape wasn't able to play. I should borrow the VCD
version from the pastor when I got the chance.

I also realize
some people's sense of irresponsibility is rather amazing. Especially
in the working offices. After all, how much can the so called "Job
Description" cover? However, they are very subtle when it comes to
promotions.

I wonder, if there's any side effect for hiring those
who have deeper sense of responsibility to join the company and
outsourcing to those who are more talented as temporary/subcontract
type relationship.

The Real Authority of Pastor

With the news spread out in Australia, false testimony isn't something new, following Tom Papania's example.

However,  if people listen to your sermon because they feel sorry for you, you are in real trouble. It's either that, or repent towards righteousness, not towards a renewed pastor.

Double Cursed Obesity

A fat person who exercises regularly is blessed in health indeed.

A fat person who seeks after his gifts is blessed in God's mercy indeed.

A fat person who seeks not the full potential of any gift diligently is a fat bastard indeed.

On Holiness

No Christians wouldn't want to be holy.

If one doesn't want to be holy, it is obvious that he is not a Christian yet.

I'm afraid today's culture has caused many to loose their sense of discernment.

On the Seriousness of Serving God

Those who at least know that they are serving God, it is crucial that they receive theological training. "Ask and ye shall receive", this is not a materialistic statement, but spiritual.

I pray for those who ernestly seeking to know God more deeply so that they can serve God better, that God will bless them greatly; but those who do not seek any form of theological training and yet call themselves humble servants of God should be cursed to the deepest hell.

Stephen Baldwin

Interesting article regarding actor turned evangelical Christian Stephen Baldwin, after his wife's prayer, in 2001, the 9/11 incident.

However, I hope his motive would have been more Godly than emotional.

Reminding me of a recent chat with former CCGC pastor, Rev. Serena Lin. Made me realize a grave anguish. As she tried to justified actions of administration based on what disgrace might happen, instead of following the principles of the Bible. It is one thing to find human ways to prevent the school from arriving a decision to deem Rev. Chen convicted of adultery and ban the fellowship, it's another thing to stand up for the truth, make the truth shines for God's glory God's way and leave the rest to God.

God's will will never be thwart, but it aches me when respectable servants of God make unbiblical ways God's way.

The Pharisees of Two Eras

I have said, the old Pharisees thought themselves to be more righteous than God, I would restate that:

The Pharisees of Jesus' time thought themselves more righteous than Christ; The "Pharisees" today think themselves more merciful than God.

Earth in the Center

The Sun revolves around the Earth, or vice versa, just another relativistic interpretation of nature.
