Recent AGM event at church last Sunday has made me realized God has given a great opportunity for us to see how His way, triumphs over that which is man-made, His kingdom triumphs over worldly legislation even when it was implemented in the church.
I can only pray and hope for His glory to shine yet again in this church.

I learned how to discern false absolute in those who claim to be Christians, or servants of God:
1. When they began to feel the need to hide their "false" absolute theological doctrine, that means they are ashamed of it...and yet do not wish to admit this fault for they love it.
2. When they stand up for this false absolute, they will always be on the anthropocentric side.

Detection of irresponsibility on first impression is incredibly crucial. Even the detection of the slightest of irresponsibility could be an invaluable resources.
As a Christian, one must also learn to help those who are irresponsible. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean one has to cast his pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

No Doubt, a powerful speaker reads a lot.
But the difference between a great person and a person who's only great at speaking is when a great person reads, he reads to fill himself first so that he could be a witness of God himself while the other only reads to show others they have read or to steal others' credit.
To compare Rev. Stephen Tong with many powerful speakers, one can tell Dr. Tong is interested in what he reads and willing to share with others in an organized method.

Delivering a sermon that people need to hear and delivering a sermon people want to hear are two absolutely different things.[@more@]
It is my pleasure to see others judge me, for I know, ultimately, God is my Judge.
It is right to judge others, to judge the world, but judge with a righteous judgment. Hence, when I judge to a certain point, I know, it is time for me to set an example, for testimony and criticism work hand in hand. When when that time has come to act, it is not because so that I can criticize, but a lesson to my own self.
I see, once a fellow co-worker of Dr. Stephen Tong, Rev. David Chen has failed to stand up for the truth on numerous occasions simply because he was afraid he would hurt people's feeling. After time, he decided to abandon whatever truth he was upholding because to him, making people happy is far more important than the truth.
Rev. David Chen's persistence in trying to achieve a goal is good. But his methods hiding his motive is wrong. Thereby blinding him from the truth, from ever seeing whether or not his goal is actually the right goal at all. Most American pastors, when facing this dilemma, it is amazing how quickly they would naturally respond: "So, if it's not the right goal, we'll stop and change, we're not perfect." My reply to this is: "Tell this to non-Christians, tell it to the Muslims, that in Christianity, there is no perfection." How come those who claim to be true followers of the truth treat the truth so irresponsibly?
Nevertheless, of many Taiwanese-American pastors I've seen, Rev. David Chen is probably one of the few male pastors who's passionate enough to do student ministry. It's a sad sad time for...at least...the Chinese community...in America.
Knowing this, how must I treat this church? Do I desert this church? Nay. But to proof to the world, that God is real, that the authority is in the hand of Christ the Lord our Savior!
