Crab Nebula

Chinese and Anasazi recorded the crab supernova on July 4th, 1054.

Anasazi cliff painting near Penasco Blanco's great house seems to indicate such event.

This nebula M1 is located in the constellation of Taurus.

On Charismatics

The Charismatics/Pentacoscal churches like to take irresponsible action against conflicts, problems. Especially when the problem comes from non-believers, the charismatics would take hostile action against such regardless of Christ's teaching on humility, patience and wisdom.

Salvation to Whom?

Can those who preached salvation be not part of the saving grace?

If so, every one who preached will be saved.

Then we have to include the possibility that Judah Iscariot is saved.

But this is against the Bible which clearly states that Judah Iscariot is not saved, as Jesus Himself stated it (that it is better that Judah Iscariot was not born, etc.)

Although it is true that Judah Iscariot did bring glory to God by his works during his discipleship with our Lord, yet he's still counted outside of the Grace.

Hence, it is concluded not everyone who brings or who thought he brings glory to God is saved. Peter was called Satan for doing something like that, Pharaoh during Moses' time was used for God's glory,  Uzza thought he was helping God and was killed, etc.

Although this needs further discussion, but I believe that the Glory of God is so sovereign that it is only our duty as creation of God to glorify God. God doesn't need to be glorified because He is full in Glory. But we need to glorify God, because of His sovereignty. Whether we are christians or not. Of course, how can non-believers glorify God "knowingly" if they don't even believe God in the first place.

Then it is concluded that it is better to glorify God knowingly than being "used" to glorify God. For it is clearer to see by this way, that our salvation is based on grace and grace of God alone. Lest we risk having our jealousy calling God's sovereignty barbaric.

From here, it is clearer to see what one famous preacher once meant by "when you die, those whom you thought were saved, are actually in hell, those whom you thought weren't saved, are actually in heaven..."

Isn't salvation by faith alone? Yes. But the problem is many misinterpreted the meaning of "faith", Fide, pistis, Faithfulness. Hence, disconnected from other verses of the Bible dealing with salvation. And even faith, comes from the grace of God, lest anyone prides himself of his faith.

For it is from grace of God upon the individual, I believe God does not grab a bunch for salvation but electing individuals unconditionally since before the foundation of the universe. For the elects, we are precious to God because he elected us to be. However, it is likely that there are those who think they are elects but actually are not. It is just common sense. Very sad for them. Nevertheless, the concept of predestination is not only true, but it helps us better in evangelistic ministry. That we do not preach the wrong message, begging everyone to "believe" instead of actually bringing light to their eyes, making them see the true meaning of God's grace and salvation, knowing our Lord Jesus Christ, bring those who are actually the chosen ones to the surface. Yet knowing that there are those other elects whose time are yet to come. It is sad how preaching is done these days, might as well give $100 to those who want to "join christianity". When Jesus cried, He wasn't hoping them to believe, for He knew whom the Father has given Him. He cried for the sins and hardness of men, He cried because He is righteous.

Consequently, it is by fear of the Lord that we come under His grace.

Journal Transfer 12-26-2006 on Book Review: Have We No Right by Mabel Williamson

====================
Book Review:

Philippians 2:3 ...but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

It is among brothers and sisters in my Lord that I indulge in such lesson. For all who are called are made worthy. Who am I? but a sinner who needs the abundant grace and mercy of my Lord Jesus Christ.

Among non-believers, the general law is applied. So, there are those who are better than me in the general fields, of which I as Christian must strive to better myself yet not become jealous when I reach my limitation.

By refining such superiority into glory of God, one has done his purpose.

Mable Williamson in her book entitled: Have We No Right, page 98 "The right to feel superior", spoke of how one could not feel superior if one is more learned, more knowledgeable, wealthier, healthier than others. Only an honest person could ask something like this. And diligently seeking after God who is the rewarder of such, one would be blessed richer in his spiritual life.

She provided a 2-step solution, 1. To acknowledge this superior complex within one's corrupted self, 2. To live and experience in full the living condition of others.

With honesty, we should not falsely humble ourselves not even with an excuse of "polite manners". It is in fact the pride of the worst kind. Yet we must be prepared to acknowledge the better in others. A just Christian sheds the light of God's glory, witnessing to others the righteousness of God.

Ready to rebuke and stand up for truth yet able to esteem other better than myself in a hard lesson indeed. It is a lesson in righteousness and truth. A great paradox which only possible for God by the Holy Spirit, in the name of Christ Jesus.[@more@]

On Charismatics

They were intellectuals before, but when became "christians" they became dumb. This is the effect of the charismatic movements. And by superficial means, they try to show they are clever, "filled" by the Holy Spirit, but in fact, they merely copy the acts of those who are truly spiritual.

Why don't they change? I would say for one, it's laziness. Laziness to think. To study, to take the hard path. Masking their pride with a spiritual hypocrisy.

Problem Solving

A problem must be solved immediately especially when it's within one's won able resources.

Failure to do so will result in bad timing, perhaps even degrading memory.

Where is your Money?

Mat 6:21  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Mat 6:21  因为你的财宝在那里,你的心也在那里。

Money, the value of this world, where would one place it? To know the answer, ask those including oneself who think they know the answer to explain materialism. Then one would know how deep this verse is by laughing at the simple minded explanation.
