The Right Way to Poop

I knew it! I've been criticizing this Western way for so long until I thought I was taking crazy pills.

I know 2 people in my life who managed to still squat on the Westernized toilet (Though the ancient Romans have been using it). I myself attempted different ideas and contraption to solve this. But I would never thought of Squatty Potty.

Malaysian Police

I thought this kind of muscle flexing between the driver and traffic authority only happens in U.S.. Perhaps the lady is Western influenced. But she is brave, I'll give her that.

Hiring Homeless to wait in line for iPhone 5, Ethical?

100 homeless traveled to line up at an Apple store. Why? Because they could make $80 for a businessman who promised to pay them $40 for each iPhone they bought. Unfortunately, after the long wait, the deal's off when their "boss" kept bragging about his scheme. No sales to the homeless, no commission for them either. Some of they were stuck without transportation back.

Is the businessman ethical? I would say he should have given a notice of warning to his hires, should the store stop his scheme. So, he's greedy and dumb enough to not see this one coming.

How about the store, do they have the right to refuse the homeless? I believe any store has to right to refuse sales to certain customers, provided they have ethical reason. In this case, they are protecting their reputation: Who would want to compete with the homeless for being the earliest in line?

To understand further, I need to research about Black Friday, I think.

Router Auto Rebooter for NYGC

To reset the router that freezes from time to time at NYGC, I've implemented remote switch coupled with programmed CD-tray. But on rare occasion, another router faces the same problem and I'm out of wireless switches and CDROM trays.

So, I looked at pwrusb, looks good. They emailed me a password to access their download page, so that I could view the user manual as well as software. It appears for the Basic module (recommended by them for my situation), the software can only detect and control 1 outlet instead of 6. This makes the cost $70 high. It is not completely wasted, if I am willing to use their development files.

Or I could start my own DIY project.

What to Eat in Penang

I can't believe my memory is so bad now that I need a foreign news article (or a local guide) for what to do once I got to Penang.

Zoolz Online Unlimited Storage for $2/Month

They don't have free 100GB storage anymore. But unlimited storage for $2/month, it's probably the cheapest out there.

Today (Last night)'s Rally

At Church of Grace to Fujianese (133 Allen Street).

I was 40 minutes late at 7:40pm. I did not expect Michael Liu to be later than I. Nonetheless, it must be noted that I was late during my last lunch time with him, last Tuesday. I was almost an hour late. I must say, the Q44 was 30 minutes late as well. But no, I cannot put all faults to the MTA bus, nor Michael's change of time from 11am to 12pm.

Traffic? Perhaps.

I heard him preach/sharing his testimony. Perhaps I've heard it once or that I thought I knew him well enough, that I was easily distracted away from his speech. The whole sermon by Dr. Tong lasted 2 hours simply because he included Michael's testimony in the first half. I can see how others would be troubled by it. The program made no mention of this detail.

It is not easy to do what Dr. Tong does. To reach out to youths that love God. With thousands of people meeting him every time, filtering out the "right" ones is certainly tough. Not to mention attacks from the narrow hearts.

I agree with Rev. Tong's agony with today's lack of Chinese evangelists. I do pray for Michael Liu. I also pray that he does not get swayed by the extreme evangelists who thinks being gospel amplifiers is equal to gospel preaching.

I took in my heart a few things from Dr. Tong's message:

1. Take everything and philosophize it, and then, theologize it, before letting it pass one's hold on it.

2. Mazda, the Japanese automobile brand, is etymologically a pagan god.

3. Those who always complain how often they were being mistreated, are proud. If you think you are good when you are good to others, then you are no good. Repeat this by replacing "good" with "spiritual", etc.

4. Dr. Tong finally (perhaps not the first time) named "Yuan Zhiming" as the one who equate Lao Zi's Dao De Jing to the Bible as God's special revelation.

Liberal Love

Theft can be justified...Only possible with the liberals.

This was shared on facebook by a friend (Lisa Moon). Now I know her theology.

In the past, the scribes confused everyone with the misuse of the Law, now the liberals confuse everyone with the misuse of Love.
