Many think kiasu is bad.
I believe it is neutral. I would further provoke that it is biblical according to Matthew 11:12 - the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

Two Sundays ago, I had the opportunity of Bible reading in English. I practiced hard for it...despite their praises, I thank God and hope that His word is preached clearly. That it will encourage not just myself, but everyone else to have more motivation to read the Bible.
This is a link to my script. Though many were "curious" about my "British" accent, the key of a good reading/narration, I believe, is pauses at the right places...or as some call it, phrasing: An element of narration I realized from a movie of Harry Potter:A Narration by Emma Watson, from Harry Potter, and then I paid attention to professionals like Patrick Stewart and John Hurt.
Half way through reading on the stage, my left hand began to shiver holding my script, so I rested my hand on the stand. I could still read at that distance but I couldn't afford to risk keeping any eye contact with the congregation.
Perhaps a smile before and after reading next time would also help me relax.
There is no shortcut nor menopause in Christianity. Therefore Christians must be diligent (no shortcut) and grow (no menopause), regardless of our age.
Many Christians think that they have done their part on Earth by going to churches every week and their only job left is just to wait for heaven. Therese had a great response to this: Spend your heaven on Earth (from St. Therese of Lisieux: I will spend my Heaven doing good on Earth).
Reading about the Judaism's take on Satan, it is very disturbing. The Jews believe Satan is just an agent "assigned" by God to tempt humans - One gave an example of the Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory: Arthur Slugworth, a pretend rival but actually a co-conspirator of Wonka, is to the Jews - the character of Satan.
This kind of view on God's temptation scheme on mankind led the Jews to justify dishonesty. So the liberal saying "As long as he is happy..." can easily be attributed to the Jews. White lies justify righteousness.
From this, it is obvious that work-based theology is never to depart the Jews. Nor will they ever find peace in Israel with their surrounding enemies.
This also encourages the Jews to be irresponsible to others - as long as they follow the rules to the fine detail. Our Lord had rightly said it: "Your father is the devil!" John 8:44.
The Muslim has a less risky view on Satan - That he is hellbound for going against God (refusing to bow down to Adam - idea stolen from Gospel of Barnabas - a heretical book).
So it is not possible for a Judaism believer to truly care for others. If there's a Jew with great passion for the community, that Jew is not truly practicing Judaism. We should not allow our view of responsility and agape love be corrupted by the Judaism belief.

It certainly is remarkable to see the resemblance between Chinese pottery and that of the Greeks. A Comparison is crucial. And also the study of TaoTie (饕餮). The difference between Hu (壺) and Guan (罐), is that Guan is larger in body and used for storage while Hu is for serving tea, wine and such, usually comes with a handle. Like 鼎 (ding3), Guan is used for cooking as well.
Some have used the verse in 1st Corinthians 3:1, ...could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal...
to mean that there is a category of Christians called the "carnal christians".
There is no such category. Paul is saying "Wake up! Repent!".
Some would argue in verse 15..."but he himself shall be saved" to defend their point.
But Paul is refering to those who woke up rather late...Do you think a sober builder would still use dry straws to build a house after his close escape from the first fire trial? Thus, it is not a category which believers could dwell comfortably in. Wake up, before too late.
Pray...A praying man stops sinning; A sinning man stops praying.
While doing extensive refreshing of the wifi networks on my Lifebook P1620, this BSOD occurred.
Referencing the bccode and parameters, the conclusion is Divide by Zero Error, which can be memory, hardware and software problems. I believe it's software. I might have had hardwares error before, since the laptop froze whenever I shook it a little, but that didn't happen anymore since I last adjusted the inside of the machine while installing the wifi adapter.
