I recently learned that there's such a type as LASER MOUSE.

Basically, it's a lot more sensitive, higher resolution. Mainly designed for gaming purpose, such as the Logitech G5 Laser Mouse.

Evolution

To promote evolution in the name of science, is equivalent to promoting heresy in the name of God.

For neither science nor God support evolution or heresy respectively.

Temptation to Betray God

I think the greatest temptation for us to betray our Lord is when we're exercising (if not usurping) encouragement, counselling and advice to others.

It is therefore a great challenge to fight for what is Godly against what is satisfactory to others or the majority.

Three Cup Chicken

Using 阿基師 's youtube cooking show, I followed his recipe to make the Taiwan fame dish: 三杯雞. Though, since I cannot differentiate the difference between 香油 and 麻油, I just used 麻油 as 香油.

Result: Okay. Good sauce. But I have an old problem: I never know how to cook tenderly soft chicken. It is always a bit harder, though not too hard. And somehow only 80% of chicken absorbed the sauce (Perhaps I shouldn't broil the chicken in the first place, just simply heat it with hot water). I am 90% satisfied.

Books recommended by others

From a Christian book's perspective, books that are written in a way that the smartest non-christian could have written, are really just not worth any "christian" value. My thought, after reading up on some reviews on a book "Counterfeit Gods" by Tim Keller, strongly recommended by someone to me. On Tim Keller, I think despite his theological skills, he seems to lean towards social gospel while being pulled by reformed doctrines.

Secondly, those who easily give away their copy (usually the only copy they have) of their "highly" recommended book, are obviously either lying about their value for the book or simply too shallow to treasure the content of a book. But perhaps I would pretend they have PERMANENT photographic memory.

A Way to Tell

Sunday passed. First morning session of the adult sunday school at 10:30am using Dr. Stephen Tong's Expository series on the book of Romans. I heard good feedback.

Come what may, now I can see who truly belongs to fellowship. Not because of Rev. Tong, but because of the desire to seek after God's word.

There are perhaps a few who really wanted to come but just couldn't due to long distance and early schedule. I already know who they are. I'd say it's understandable...it could even be a lapse in memory of the first session schedule.

I also get some feeling, especially from some old pastor, a negative one. One that is as if he doesn't want others to get any advanced knowledge in the word of God or just a matter of disagreement in Dr. Tong's interpretation or fame or whatever. How did I come with such conclusion since there's no apparent proof...I don't have any strong ground for that: I don't notice him giving credit to quotes he used in his sermons. And sermons that are like some text book reading instead of congregational relationship whether in preaching or teaching, just somewhat seem like coming from someone who prefers less responsibilities as possible and thus intend others to be less knowledgeable so as to be heeded by them for whatever small knowledge he has. Of course, I am just speculating for now. On the positive side, a pastor is a pastor, I'll just accept him as that. Rev. Tong on the other hand, a pastor and a mentor.

Could someone like Esau be hopeful-William

By what holy oracle must I abide, to guide someone like Esau, who is unrepentant but seeks all means of shameless ways to make right his wrongs. Appeasing others in whatever ways he may be able to, following the path of hypocrites, instead of earnestly seeking out faults.(Genesis 28:8-9 & Calvin's commentary)

May God have mercy upon your worthless servant, that I will have a mirror for myself as well, especially before I measure the 2" by 4" in others.

Still need more members in the choir?

If I hear another of such, I'm just going to inquire: How many people do you say is enough?

And other choices I have:

"The choir still opens for application"

"Your wish doesn't demand our approval"
