Download Live Stream Youtube

Though I think ShareX is still the best freeware for this (especially on compression with long videos). There's another: youtube-dl.

youtube-dl is a command line program. Simple. But requires ffmpeg or I got this error: "...download detected but ffmpeg or avconv could not be found...", which I downloaded and extracted to C:\. Then I need to set the Environmental Variables to the ffmpeg\bin folder (probably not that important with environmental path, because in the youtube-dl command line, it appears that I had to specify --ffmpeg-location PATH anyway)

Sample command: youtube-dl https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFEQK1BMnAQ --ffmpeg-location "C:\ffmpeg\bin"

youtube-dl is better than ShareX in a way that it can download a published video faster than ShareX because ShareX requires live capture.

So far, I can't find a way to download an ongoing live stream from the beginning (the very beginning of the stream), in spite of the many ways to speed download hours of youtube videos within minutes. Even though Youtube live streams allow user to slide the video backward in time to watch what's missed from the beginning of the ongoing stream.

I wish I know how this can be achieved.

Sunday Service 2020-04-05

Online. Watching Stephen Tong's Chinese + Indonesian a day prior due to time zone difference.

Watched Michael Keller's of Redeemer LSQ.

At night I watched Tim Keller's Peace in Times of Suffering and Uncertainty, that was posted days ago. I was amazed that Keller had the same thought with Pak Tong's sermon regarding the West being proud towards this pandemic.

Tong also further talked about how we took our freedom for granted and God's using Covid-19 as a disciplinary action against us. I've recorded both GRII's service (Mandarin-5mins missing due to technical difficulty, and Indonesian-similar but not quite the same as the Mandarin version).

First time recording of Drone Flight from home - South Amboy 2020-03-08

It wasn't bad testing this from my backyard. I fly really high. I don't bother the neighbors. I did it really quick for lift off and landing so that nobody nearby would be aware of it. I could train simple drone videography like this, without having to drive far away to fly a drone.

Cherry Blossom Tree Branch Cultivating test

Yesterday (4/4), my wife and I took a stroll at Branch Brook Park for NJ's famous cherry blossom spot. It was very peaceful and scenic. Peaceful because no crowd due to coronavirus.

I picked a small branch in order to experiment with cultivating a pink cherry blossom tree.

First Day test: Water filled jar with cottons. Applied homemade rooting hormone the next day: Aloe + organic honey (crystallized unfortunately)

Covid-19 Stay at Home

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, SPG started Work From Home in March 13th, Friday. Though I had to go into the office on the 17th for loaner laptops setup. MS Teams is the company platform while some preferred Zoom (capable of indefinite number of simultaneous video chat displays unlike Teams' max 4 video active speaker limit limit)

NYGC started this on Thursday the 19th. MS Teams is the online platform used. I've also implemented a chat system on the www.

We started online Sunday Service on the 15th, with Redeemer's LSQ. GRII started their online on the 22nd.
