How to Catch Razor Fish Clams

I once saw it in a survival book when I was in high school or younger. I didn't know what type of shells the book was talking about and it was in Chinese. Now, I believe I found what creature this is. One needs to pour salt in the hole of the shells, add a little water/sea water, and voila! It jumps out on its own.

5 UFOs myth solved...probably

A while back, I heard someone in the back car seat mentioned how she saw 5 lights in the dark skies flying in random directions. She did not mention aliens or UFO, but it is obvious what she implied.

I was definitely skeptical of any "supernatural" explanation in this. It wasn't until I went to Niagara Falls and saw lots of casino sport lights shooting into the dark sky and reflected back from the clouds. These lights were moving to attract attentions, that I thought I could explain what she saw.

People in Ministries for Gay Converts - Andrew Comiskey & Others

I first heard of him watching a debate on Homosexuality about 20 years ago involving Walter Martin, Andy Comiskey, and two pastors supporting homosexuality.

There are many I'm sure, testimonies of gay converts. But Andy's one is certainly impressive. His ministry is to help those facing similar problem.

Unfortunately, I later learned that he and his wife converted to Roman Catholicism.

Andromeda and the Moon: Angular Size

Angular size is the size from the angular view. The Andromeda Galaxy seen in the sky is compared to the Moon on the sky...such comparison is by the same angular scale.

Call Blocker for Android

Of all the call blocker I have used, Mr. Number Callblock is the best. NQ Mobile's Call Blocker and Call Control are just no match. Of all 3, Mr. Number's free cost is genuine, while the others try to make you pay or you will be annoyed with certain things like limited blocking, constant promotion reminder, etc.

Call Control also had one problem, I think. That it somehow buzzes my phone from time to time for no reason. I think it is due to the loading and unloading of the app arbitrarily because it vibrates every time it is turned on. It's acting like the ringtone function.

Of the 3, Mr. Number also cuts down blocked call's ringer/vibration most.

Simply, the best thus far.

Reza Aslan vs. Lauren Green

The recent Fox News "Spirited Debate" interview had gone awry.

Because of poor apologetic from Fox News interviewer, Lauren Green, Reza Aslan's book on Jesus' life - Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth, became Amazon's #1 bestseller.

Despite Reza's non-bias claims (he has lots of phD in Religious and New Testament Studies), his Muslim motive in his work cannot be dismissed. His only defense would be to argue that Jesus was crucified while the Muslims believe otherwise. But one, a Muslim, could easily soothe his fellow Muslims by rejecting Christ's divinity.

A good look at negative comments on Amazon will be enough to tell much of Aslan's book. Should I need to read it, I could do it via library. There is no need to buy it.

I first heard about Aslan and his book from The Janet Mefferd Show. Always a good source that show it is. I always get news so quickly. Janet must be an incredibly avid reader. He used to be "Christian", but now he loves to claim he's surrounded by a Christian wife, evangelical brother in law, etc.

Green's interview however, was as some suggested, quite incompetent. Recalling one of her interviews with Tim Keller, I had to look her up. She apparently attends Redeemer. I do not know which of the 3 sites. She seems talented in classical piano, having her own album.

Perhaps, thanks to her, Redeemer could see a sudden burst of attendance?

This brought me to another article, on Tim Keller's mega-church planting view. Though Keller didn't quite follow Driscoll's 100 video screen churches strategy, he has certainly no intention on building a pastoral relationship with individual congregants...how could he?

I certainly do not agree with any of these megachurch approaches in America. Coming from the Mid-Western Christian culture, Green acknowledges the problem as well. She says, "I know intellectually that this is needed, and I understand it and I go to church every Sunday even when he's not there. But I don't think it will be the same."

Keller's answer to that would just be the careful: "It all sounds shaky to people. It makes them nervous. But this is not such a bad thing. If you don't know how something will turn out, you pray like crazy."

Without pastoral relationship, the members' spiritual lives are easily in chaos. Size does not prove spiritual maturity. This, I believe, is the result of Green's poor apologetic response to Aslan. Because with a pastor like Tim Keller, if there is a close relationship, it is unlikely that a congregant of such could fail in asking Aslan the right questions. Perhaps she was forced to interview Aslan against her wish.

This must go right to the top list of my prayer.

Poor Ministry in America

I recall someone at CCGCLI testifying some married pastor/preacher's struggling life in America. That they were so poor that they were feeding only on eggs in the fridge and were only left with a dollar or two. I knew the testimony has problem, but I couldn't pinpoint it until now.

If they were in Siberia or India, I'd say it's a good testimony how they rely on God. But if they were in U.S.A., then it is sad, sad, sad. A country claiming its riches of churches and resources cannot even this preacher benefit from. Even those who are in the States should be ashamed to share such testimony as some good testimony.

Ancient Chinese Scholars

If they learned 四書五經 by the age of 15, I've much to catch up. Not to mention the 3 commentaries (after 15 years old) of 春秋:

Then there are:

孝經周禮儀禮, 爾雅
