Macy in Flushing

I was at MACY's last morning, picking up some stuff for a friend and I'm amazed at the responsibility there. I was at the same counter a day before an hour prior to closing time, and was told the staff has left for the day. Now, I had waited from 10:30 to 11:50 AM and no body showed up, while the other staffs from other booths couldn't do anything more than serving their own counters which are also apparently very relaxing at this hour.

With this kind of management, how one would wonder why people get laid off, economy is falling or even reaching the conclusion that immigrants (illegal or otherwise) are 'stealing' their jobs is just astonishing.

IP Webcam

Those IP Webcam is quite handy, especially the remote pan/tilt ones. Would be an easy setup over the DVR ones. As for quality and results, I do not know.

Wildman Steve Brill

Today (or Yesterday-Saturday) marks the 3rd time of my participation in Wildman Steve Brill's foraging tour in city parks. First two were Central Park and Prospect Park (I couldn't remember the order). Now Inwood Hill.

This time, with the benefit of my iphone, I get to put photos and notes together very quickly on the spot.

I should upload the photonotes.

Question to Ask Dr. Stephen Tong (and his family)

Perhaps I should prepare some important question(s) to ask Dr. Tong. Since Rev. Laura Lin is very aristocratically keen on introducing people to me, perhaps I may just use this hand of Uzzah for the balance of things, lest my anger gets the better of me.

Prediction

Perhaps I could predict this:

Lyna: 哇, 詩班很多不會唱的,最後都唱得很好,感謝神。

Me: 詩班唱得怎麼樣,由聽眾心裡決定,上帝知道,不需要您畫蛇添足。

Dying Churches in the Bible Belt

Well, at least I'm not the only one pointing this out now. Too bad it has to be from Christian Today magazine and not the other one.

"Christian South's people aren't unreached, but wrongly reached...moralism over the Gospel"...strong words from Pastor Tyler Jones.

I see some of my "minister" friends of the South just keep themselves more and more isolated from the outside while satisfying themselves with the remaining, yet still acceptable in number, Southern supporters.

What's even worse, is those who would like to agree with us on this issue, tend to misunderstand, since their "agreement" comes from being hurt by anyone who follows not their way.

CLDemuxer.ax causing Windows Vista to Crash

A client(Michelle, Cathy's friend)'s HP laptop. Yesterday.

At windows startup, error message kept popping up or else whole system froze, saying windows explorer encountered error, module in question: CLDemuxer.ax

Decided to delete such file from safemode, failed, same problem.

Used Vista DVD to enter recovery mode during bootup. Ran command prompt, thanks to this site,  located file in two folders:

Directory of C:\Program Files\Hp\QuickPlay\Kernel\DMP
Directory of C:\Program Files\Hp\QuickPlay\Kernel\Movie

(Apparently, HP issue) Some sites say it's from other programs like Nero, I found no such evidence here.

In the recovery mode, renaming was easy. Problem solved.

Definition of American

Some think having greencard without citizenship is not "American", some think as long as they are born outside of USA regardless of their country of citizenship, they are not "American", etc.

Personally, I see American as someone who could easily go in and out of U.S.A. without any hassle, just as any U.S. citizen.

Obviously, my criticisms on Americans do not cover every single individuals.

Again with the judgmental issues

In Bible studies, especially the Evangelical ones, many love the principle of "Speak out your opinion, nobody is wrong".

I am not so. I would point: This one is wrong, that is right, this person is right, wrong, etc.

I wouldn't even consider covering someone's erroneous statements. One must be responsible for one's speech.

Bible study is teaching when there's a teacher present. Not discussion and certainly not a place to bring false principles and false doctrines.

Questions and doubts are always welcome, but one shouldn't be defensive when one's false doctrine is judged. Who can judge? All servants of God, followers of Christ.
