The greatest harm can result from the best intentions

The greatest harm can result from the best intentions

Source: Terry Goodkind "The Sword of Truth: Stone of Tears"

This quote does resonate in me when I saw an episode of Legend of the Seeker. As I am often troubled by people who are enthusiatic enough to help but too lazy to labor for its perfection.

The degree of perfection is only limited by a person's will to seek the truth.

On Suicide

Those who love to dramatize about how close they were to committing suicide, are generally coward and scared of death and...of course...lying. Having the emotional intuition to make a scene, yes, but never for real.

Those who actually committed suicide, generally have no empathy in this manner.

Nevertheless, one must also question those who put their hands upon God's ark, as Paul Washer puts it when he warned a fellow sister not to comfort a crying soul as it was called for all to repentance during a Gospel rally. How much damage those "counsellors-wanna-be" cause to these fragile souls when they rob them of a Godly life and addict them with emotional vanity? I'm sure, these would even dare to reply: If Uzzah did not hold the Ark, who's going to hold it? Paul Washer did it right and these could only receive the rebuke or begone.

The truly suicidal must be made strong by the word of God alone, not the smart lies from the psychiatrical world.

Is Mahathir Crazy?

An entry in his log exhibited that Mahathir actually bought into the 9/11 conspiracy theory.

I could come up with two reasons:

1. He's trying to gain popularity on a global scale with his Muslim brethren.

2. He's forgotten how people could twist the truth like the Fake moon landing conspiracy theory or the Cydonia face alien legacy.

Granted, there are some mysteries to be explained. But for those who claim they have solved it, much is needed to be answered.

Act! Database Messed up After Restore

I was told after I used the backup and restore procedure to copy Act! database to a different windows account, that the notes and history were all messed up in BOTH account's Act! version 2009.

I am not there, so I cannot be certain of the real problem. But, perhaps next time, instead of copying by backing up/Restore procedure (since the db files are locked from normal copying), I would just go to safemode and copy it that way. Safemode seems to work as I could delete the db files that way.

Auricularia auricula-judae vs Tremella fuciformis

That is, Judas' ear fungus and Snow fungus.

黑木耳 和 白木耳

Kikurage and Shiro Kigurage シロ(キクラゲ )

Classification of the two split at Order in taxonomy.

I've always been fond of Jews' Ears in culinary from my mother's home cook dish with shredded pork.

100 Degree Eyepiece

First there was Ethos (I've yet to seen an actual one), now there's TMB and Zhumell 100 series, knocking the wide FOV price down from 600USD to 250USD. So what's the catch? I know not. But boy, I would love to see through a 100 degree eyepiece.

Following the Examples of Others

The ones I have access to are Bible reading by Alexander Scourby in KJV; NIV and NKJV NT dramatized recordings.

It would appear I could pick up some essense from them for a short period of time,  but that is it.

As long as my mind wonders with various ways of speaking, it cannot be settled. Or can it?

I believe this is a good training for the mind, the state of mind in thought discipline.

I have an inkling that should I solve this mental problem, it would also cure me of an age long soloist's fear in concentration.

Compare & Contrast

Chinese Churches do not know how to give credit where credit's due; Western Churches do not know how to share grace selflessly.

Wrong thing for the right intention

Recalling a pastor (second one but in a more honest manner) trying to match making me to someone, I would comment on anyone whose such intention is not fully indulged in vanity: Perhaps one did the wrong thing for the right intention.
