Start of 32F Winter and Reflections

Around today, I realized that the temperature has dropped to 32F and below, so I put on the foam faucet covers for both outdoor faucets this morning.1

Looking back I realized that I have two e-scooters that were malfunctioning and a non-e-scooter which I never really used much. I plan to either fix this or modify them into one very portable and possibly light weight e-scooter that I can hide on the train, since they do not permit motorized contraptions.

I shall also look into propagating some aloe plants that have overgrown in the bedroom.

Recollecting back on sermons by Stephen Tong, I must note this which I have observed for quite some times: Listening to Tong is not only because of its originality, but the focus is truly for God's kingdom and trying to teach the congregants about it with love. Contrasting with the others, those in America, Tim Keller is the first and the only one I could come up with for originality. His 16 hour preparation time definitely paid off. But surely it's not just the amount of time one puts into preparing a sermon, but the care and the walk with God that would affect how a sermon is prepared. Most other American preachers I've seen have this basic standard, other than quoting verses and chanting "trust God", "obey Him", "love Him" repeatedly, that is to preach a sermon with the same theme over and over again...what gives? Well, it's as if if a pastor could rephrase a sermon theme with different words, that's good already. And if he could use words that are colorful, that's better, and if the audience could figure out the simple truth through a complexity of wordings and terminologies of the layman standard, that's great! There is no new things, these preachers make the living word of God dead and boring. No life in the message, because they live not according to the living word. They do not go for the truth, but for the dramatic and the legalistic emphasis, as if to scare audience into submission. They fail at trusting God, they fail at giving their lives truly, they fail because they have learned to pretend not to fail very comfortably.

Sermon - Stephen Tong Sunday Service 12/06/2020 Matthew 7:1-3

Acts 14:22 ...We must through much tribulation enter into the Kingdom of God.

Judge not...ten how can we value what is good or bad? This is not what it means.

Menghakimi- Here it means evaluate incorrectly/ignorantly, without proper facts, wrong motive.
Menilai- evaluate
Estimasi
Perbandingan

Jesus was judged by Pilate, Herod, Caiaphas, people. By all sinners. "He is the illegitimate child." "his mother slept with other men", etc. They don't believe otherwise than a pregnant woman must be by sleeping with other men, because they do not believe in the power of God.

Certain judgements by Jesus because he is God, he knows men's hearts.

John 7:52 No prophet from Galilee, so Jesus is false prophet...another false judgment. They didn't understand Micah 5:2.

During the Pilgrim's Mayflower, until 1776, the Americans were prepared spiritual to deal with the religiously corrupted British and French. The French went as far as to massacre all protestant.

Freedom of Religion back then means you can freely worship your God. Unlike today's choosing any religions in the world. "Let my people go"

Tong critics false politics, communism, fake democracy, etc. If Biden wins then while world would walk into the lies of communism.

v.2 if you are good to others, God will also be good to you; if you are stingy to others, God will also do likewise to you.

The French Revolution against the Kings were based on hatred, not the God given human rights. The communists way of taking from the rich and giving to the poor is wicked.

Eunice Tong worked at KFC as cashier.

Tong borrowed David his car while in college, cannot boros bensin.

GRII Museum's capital is from STEMI, not the church.

Tong got STEMI USA (not the church) to aid his children's struggles.

My note: Most sinners complain how God is unfair of His reward; My sinful struggle, for better or worse, is that which despise reward of any form.

Tong said he gave the one who went to Iraq $4k from his pocket for the mission. I thought it was $400. Perhaps a different person, or inflation.

Chinese Sermon:

If the ruler is selected by the people, it's like the famous book "The Social Contract" by Jean-Jacques Rousseau. The book talked about how when everyone is born the same, but grew up so differently.

Louis XIV (The Sun King in France) similar time as Kang Xi in China. Kang Xi is second good emperor. 56 true emperors in China. Best emperor was Tang TaiZong, whose best advisor is Wei Zeng. TaiZong has a smart wife who advised him to give Wei Zeng promotion instead of getting angry and going to kill Wei Zeng of his criticisms. First 15 years of Tang TaiZong was called 貞觀之治, because it's the golden age of his rule.

The GRII museum has some of TaiZong's stuff and his writings, said to be authentic by some visiting Chinese experts. How to tell? It's written on thick sack rather than thin ones as done in latter times.

Second best, Kang Xi, invited international tutors in math, etc.

The West has very few good kings. A very great king but very selfish, Louis XIV, built the greatest palace (Chateau de Versailles) in Europe. (World greatest is in Beijing). Completed based on 45% tax from the people. Tong respected Indonesian presidents' (since Sukarno, etc.) who don't build their palace in this way.

1793, Louis XVI & his queen Marie Antoinette were executed in Place de la Concorde.

Under Communism rule, Russia fell because went against God's will, oppressed the people worse than Tzars. Now the Chinese are doing the same. Now America wants to distinguish Chinese Culture, Government & people. Chinese culture, to be respected, Chinese people are good. So don't like the government, doesn't mean don't love China; Love China doesn't mean to love the Communist Party. Judge rightly.

No E-Scooter on the NJ Transit Train? Time to build my own concealable e-scooter then

So the conductor kindly warned me about the ban on e-scooter and I quickly looked it up:
https://www.njtransit.com/Services/bikes-and-other-services

E-Scooters And E-Bikes
Scooters and bikes with motors are not permitted on any trains, buses, light rail or Access Link vehicles, or at NJ TRANSIT stations and outlying property. Customers are not permitted to ride, charge, store or transport these devices anywhere on NJ TRANSIT's system.

So indeed, e-scooter's worst than a bicycle apparently. Searched deeper, looks like it has something to do with batteries exploding, popularized by hoverboard fails. But I think it could also be the intolerance of seeing E-scooter leaning against the seat. If only I didn't do that and try laying it on the floor...at least try to fit it, I wonder if the conductor would mind. After all, this restriction was said to have posted since May 2019 and I have no clue until now, doesn't seem like it's been enforced.

So while I'll try to keep my head down and continue carry my e-scooter on the train more discretely like either laying it entirely on the floor or seat in those spacey end of the car, I should really look into building my own e-scooter, I have the parts, I have Youtube help, shouldn't be too hard once I get the drawing board done. I need to build one that is foldable (since there's none in the world that I know of because MiniFalcon turns out to be a scam).

Let's call it a project!

It's interesting the transit allows Segway:
Customers traveling on trains or light rail vehicles with Segways should refer to the Bicycle on NJ TRANSIT Trains or Light Rail sections above. The permitted Segway carriage time periods, requirements, and restrictions are the same as for bicycles. Information provided within the General Safety Reminders, Emergencies and Liability sections also apply to Segway users. Segways are not allowed on bicycle racks on buses.

My alternative would be to get a folding bike that doesn't look like an e-bike which is not allowed. Folding bike is allowed at all times while regular bike is not allowed during rush hours.

Sermon - Stephen Tong Sunday Service 11/29/2020 Matthew 6:33-34

From Confucius: Prioritization:

Kerajaan (of Earth and of Heaven):
1. pemimpin
2. rakyat
3. senjata

Tong listened to his own sermons at 7pm, reflection, correction.

Testimony of his 19 year old prayer that resulted inadvertently in the chasing out of demons on a sick bed. It's the right of all Christians.

v. 33, Righteousness not about Truth as the English would put it. It's about the Work of justice.

Cut from Live Stream:
In the beginning after David Tong's accident news, Tong shared of betrayal of HK STEMI, taking away $$$ from over 20 years of sermons/lectures for themselves. Slanders from other STEMI members in other countries.

Agnes Chow 周庭 mentioned. Titled as "Goddess" in Japan because of her beauty and fluency in Japanese, the young HK politician was imprisoned by the Chinese, to the anger of Japanese.

Trump vs. Huawei mentioned.

Now USA more corrupt than Indonesia, etc.

Tong: Trump tried to get rid of Chinese students in USA, but got sued by Harvard, etc. In the future, Chinese military will be greater than USA.

My note: To cut off this political part, if it's to shorten the time, it's ok, but to not want any sermon to have political part, it's despicable. I don't know for what motive, but I need to be careful with these folks whoever they are until I'm sure.

Chinese Version:

PS: Both Chinese and Indonesian versions may have been shortened after the live stream. I do my best to record the live stream. This time, the testimony of David Tong's accident has been cut of in the official recording.

Tong used David's accident to thank God for all lives including the other accident party's are preserved. I'm impressed because I know if this had happened to the ones in U.S.A. the preacher would not be preaching for maybe 100 days or something, rather than preaching hope and strength of God with even more vigor.

Tong mentioned the U.S. election further. Supporting Trump, talked about its economics, the Dominion voting machine scandal, etc. Many rich businessmen support Biden because they want China's business, good for business.

My take of the election: This is the only one I know, if not the first, where Americans are more excited in voting against a candidate than voting for a candidate.

Stephen Tong is Going to Preach in his own Funeral?

While studying the book of Jonah for tomorrow's Men's Fellowship, I came across this

Rather interesting.

Sermon - Stephen Tong Sunday Service 11/22/2020 Matthew 6:25-34

It says don't "worry", not don't "think".

China = culture of cow (farmers). Small bowls, plates.
Mongolia = culture of horse (robbers). Big plates.

Observe ants. Do you see any ants hanging out chit chatting?

Socrates ridiculed Sophists for taking money for teaching. Knowledge is free. Not necessary to pay for.

Contrasting Confucius, who educates without discrimination.

Chinese Sermon:

Aristotle hated those who make money with money. (I would guess bankers, stock brokers, etc.) Because the most honored person is one who labors with his skills, sweat, and thus deserves his wages.

Chinese cultural order: 士(scholars, highest value),农(those who feed the society),工(shoes, clothes, building, etc.),商(main focus is to make profit, so not so valued, greedy, etc.),兵(possible bullies)。The old Chinese culture is one of the society that is very biblical. During President Mao, the army is the highest, Using unjust means. Said to free civilians but end up bullying them.

Charity works today don't necessarily mean it's good. Because there are those beggars who are actually very wealthy, Tong eluded o the verse: 不要行义过分 (Ecc 7:16)

挂虑变成焦虑 (德文:angst), 中文很少用 = the totality of worry.
Therefore, GRII founded kindergarten, high school, etc.

God: more is given more is required.
Plato/Aristotle: (different equality with biblical justice): given work based on one's skills. This is passive (静性), not active (动性).

Tong once used 8 hours/day to listen to / learning music.

Why Jesus used his saliva? because saliva is the best medicine. Age 65 (Tong) to get diabetes is quite healthy. Diabetes brings 4 great ails: 1. blindness, 2. kidney failure, cardiac side effects, abnormal blood pressure. Blood bleeds nonstop, feet may have to be amputated. So young people watch what you eat.

Blood sugar under 160 not so bad, 180+ is very risky, 200+ is rather fatal.

Medicine is toxic. Liver detoxes. Body important, but life more than body.

First things first:
Spirit over body
character over action
God's will upon our lives over our entertainment in the world

You life is more than birds, life, etc.
