Dream:
=============
Looks like top floor of the hotel I took seminar at in 2004-5?
A group in our church hugging many people. Lu Qiang (how would I see him as part of our church so naturally or they seemed to be a group visiting us) hugged one more. Alex then said with much stress that people should hug more-something like that.

My mother (again another strange "natural" appearance) signed up a Malay tuition for me...a 1-888 number I tried calling to cancel. Even when I woke up, I was perplexed as to how to cancel it.

Church basement:
Becky and Alex the left of stage (close to library) down the stairs speaking to a crowd of us. Becky asked those who're single to raise hands. Alex (on her left) asked her to raise, she said she is not the same as a speaker. Then she raised for a quick one. Either it's too crowded or I didn't see Alex raise his. I think I saw tears in Alex's eyes when he was giving some speech later.

New Plan for Immigration Bill

First it was the British, I think, now, the Americans are getting funnier too with their ID system. If this is levied, I wonder if it's  a show of technological superiority or how big a wallet the Americans can carry.

I supposed the more debt a nation has, the more comedic it will become. Thus, the more ignorance towards the sinful nature of not willing to repent can result in greater confinement.

When will a president be like Lincoln, and command the whole nation to repent and fast? Instead of saying: "We will not apologize for our way of life".

Astronomy and the Bible by Mike Riddle

After watching this video, which is actually an evolutionism vs. creationism topic on astronomy, it did bring my attention to:

1. the Oort Clouds (hypothetical explaination to the source of comets)

2.  Stellar formations (popularly believed to be from nebulae gas clouds, but problems with laws in heat expansion in gasses, and no observable evidence has been found to date)

3.  Quantized redshift distributions spherical shells around our galaxy (Instead of a more scattered redshifts, thus bringing question to the Big Bang Theory model)

4. Deception by Omission (I like this phrase, it is also a very popular tactic by many Ameristians in getting their things done)

On Those who love to tell foreign students to graduate and go home to help their own Countries

First of all, this is a clear sign of jealousy. And logic confirms it:

1. Is it really why all foreign students come to study? Because they home countries are inferior?

2. If their quality betters one nation (any nation), shouldn't that nation be better at helping others?

3. How have these shallow accusers been "helping" their own country? Since they know so much about "helping", by paying taxes?

Thus, key elements of jealousy: shallowness, ignorance, doesn't wish the better ones near around them.

Well...what a fortnight!

Finally, the new server is up and running. Now with this complete system, no more trading off the graphics, I can even put on a webcam server for good. Journal transfers initiated...

Added New Astrophoto

Added a new astrophotograph to my album. Thanks to my new more portable telescope MEADE ETX-80 ($210), I can now easily set it up at night or even in my room to get a quick glimpse of the Sun. The only slight unfortunate event was I was too careless as to how much the Sun's heat could become under such convergence and when I realized that the internal Barlow was stuck, I quickly stopped and detect the burnt rubbery to confirm what had happened.

Good thing after cooling down for a bit, I could flip the Barlow lens on and off but I do have to push the lens directly off the view inside-not too much trouble, just now I have to deal with it...perhaps the whole mechanism would still be fixable by time or some oil treatment but I shall handle that in the future.

Did a comparison with SOHO's latest solar take, Sunspots seem different than mine. Now I would like to know how fast Sun spots move/change.

Tempting to get a solar filter for a more direct view, but I'm still a bit cowardly paranoid of direct eye contact and those filters ain't cheap. So I'd just stick with wall projection with the scope for now.

Sunspots activity was so dormant, practically non-existence in the past few years that having to witness them on my first try at solar projection is rather exciting.

First attempt. Almost smoked the telescope. Now internal Barlow switch seems stuck sometimes, unable to unhook without additional labor.
Interesting how sunspots move. Or was I not looking at the right Sun? Nah...

Fingerprint of the Soul

I have sometimes wondered, how more likely a person inborn moderate qualities are impossible to be changed.

If one was talkative as a little child, it doesn't necessary mean that when one grew up and socializes not, one has "changed".

I believe the innate characteristics are still there. They were merely suppressed, transformed for good or bad, in mysterious ways.

However, as for as sinful characteristics such as homosexuality, I would say it is an already transformed nature, perhaps from a very passionate attitute, after the bombardment of pride, malevolent, anthropocentric notion, etc. As all men deserve not God's grace since fall.

Therefore, I am intrigued to  discover this "fingerprint" of a person's soul, how he was when he was a baby, comparing his own testimony of his past and the truth of it, analyzing it with the present behavior, etc.

One terminology in psychology that deals with a small part of similar subject would be Trauma.

Malevolent

I could try using this word in real life:

1. As Brian kept telling me how malevolent Sunny was, I began to take an interest seeking opportunity to discover the psyche of such "strange" person. Too bad she was let go and I have no way of keeping my specimen.

2.  It was incredibly tempting in these past years for me to harvest malevolent intent against those who were stubbornly obtuse. Good thing Psalms 37 and 38 keeps me in check with my maker.

New Telescope Terminology

For all ground-based telescopes:

Adaptive Optics: Technology in telescope mirror that can bend in ways that adjust and cancel out small distortion caused by atmospheric pressures.

Liquid Mirror Telescopes: Spinning liquid mercury on a base so that it would have a parabolic shape. Low maintenance, can have large aperture easily.

Low Humidity

Since my humidifier broke down (overheated I think), these past few days' humidity has been as low a 35% at midnight.

I didn't know I coudln't sleep well under low humid environment until the time I moved to New York, apparently. Dry throat, deep voice (I can sing bass everytime I wake up like this).

Solution: I tried bowls of waters around back in Stony Brook. Either get a new humidifier or put a wet tower around. It seems this occurs only within a week's span a year at this latitude.
