這次回馬終於問了母親,那叫 “油渣”!
查過“油煎”,等等,問了紐約華僑,都沒人知。
I remember Alex once brought up the fact that children today love to ask WHY, whenever they are told something. His answer to them is: "Why do you ask Why?" anticipating that they would not be able to reply.
I thought of this for a while. There are times where kids use "why" as an excuse, to which we could have better alternative answer than "Why do you ask why?". Such as "Because I, you father/mother/teacher, said so." Others ask in genuine sincerity, and we must reply with care.
In most cases.
One must not be afraid of others stealing one's idea. Exhibit boldly the glory of God. Many reformed Christians in the West are quiet when it comes to evangelization compared to the Charismatics, etc., even though many of them are very knowledgeable and smart, because they do not want their hard labor to become someone else's money tree.
In his death yesterday, Nelson Mandela was much praised everywhere from the media to the Pope. All this because his was black and that he ended apartheid in Africa. Anything said against him could be considered racist, so nothing about his communist membership, nothing about his pro-gay support, nothing about his terrorist support, etc..

Great, my secret Santa pick is Xiao Ping. Much reflection needed. Since Nelson was the one picking the names (I supposed it's a quick thinking for him to say he was just making sure one does not get one's own name, but there are other methods I'm sure to achieve this), I have a feeling that many, not just him, does not want Xiao Ping.
Looks like I have a heavenly task to ponder upon.
In his Matthew 12:17 commentary, John Calvin wrote:" ...He who is offended by the low condition of Christ, which God declares to be agreeable to his will, is unworthy of salvation."

Repentance requires one to admit one has seriously wronged God; A humble person, a very very humble person, may not admit that.
Unfortunately, many pastors seek to replace repentance with humility.
I guess this is closer to my budget: Mitsubishi's i-MiEV 2014 at $15.5k. Top speed 80mph, 80-100 miles on one charge.
