The City College CUNY Class: Music 101 Introduction to Music
It is certainly a strange character this John Cage. All sounds are music, according to him. Certainly not surprising that 4'33" is a piece of his work. 4'33" is a piece of silence, no music played, except for the atmospheric sounds from the audience.
I supposed I could go with the definition of music as: Organized sounds.
Timbre, fascinating. Overtones have always been a concept I've wondered about before learning this term.
Score Visualization is a wonderful way of texture recognition. And there are plenty done on youtube with various works.

Using MathJax for html math notations should be fun. There are video tutorials.
For WordPress, there are plugins such as wpmathpub.
There is another project program I could make, to leech solutions off chegg, before the trial which I just found out, expires. Though I'd say the solutions are 98% not 100% correct, due to careless contributors.

The City College CUNY Class: World Civilization 10100 Pre-historic to 1500 AD
This is an interesting course at the City College. Perhaps not evolution course at its best/worst, because the instructor is trying to be very open minded and sensitive about religious views. After all, I saw him at Redeemer, though he admitted to me that he's not Christian, but was raised Jewish. While at times I had to worry for Redeemer's methodology, the instructor does make me admire Redeemer's ministry for being so approachable by a Jewish raised, non-Christian professor.
That said, there's much to deal with in this course. First I had to deal with evolution of hominids to man, then I have to read the book Ishmael by Daniel Quinn (Interesting negative reviews on Amazon): about a gorilla who came into consciousness and attempts to teach a man "the author" about life. The book is in the form of Socratic Dialogue. The link provided has all of the Socratic dialogues by Plato.
The class itself is rather easy going, I think.
Chess Openings Trainer: My own version
Since I cannot find them on the web, I shall create my own.
It will be a website dedicated to memorizing chess openings. I shall input pgn moves for each openings and an explanations for each of the moves from resources I could find.
Thanks to pgn4web, a javascript version of chess viewer embedment on websites, I can work faster.
The purpose of this project is to make learning this easier than watching videos, reading lots of papers/books/charts.

World Leprosy Day
It reminds me of the time the Sunday School children asked me about leprosy. Thought treatable in most cases, the lack of prevention methods is still alarming.

The Isaiah 53 class by The Chosen People Ministry
Last night the class begun.
It was interesting meeting Jewish converts, particularly women, elderly women. A couple of Charismatics also, apparently, not surprisingly, but I can make do with that.
I couldn't believe hearing Jewish Christians teaching and learning about Christ using their Hebrew background and terminologies. It was very educational.
A well cherished moment, and 8 more to come.
What I learned:
Targum: (I was aware of it, but here's simpler definition: Aramaic translation of the OT with added words, by Rabbis up to the 200AD. A lot of which are anti-Christian in content.)
Torah is from the word Yarah, which means shoot, straight.
The most common findings of the Dead Sea Scrolls: Isaiah, Deuteronomy & Psalms. Which are also the 3 most quoted books in NT.
The best argument from Rabbis on Isa 53 is that the Servant is referring to the remnant of Israel, since referring to the nation of Israel would fail horribly.
I asked about earlier "chosen people ministry", so far, I have only the name Alfred Edersheim (late 19th century) to go by. And the Messianic Judaism (MJAA- America).
There is a worthy note about the wiping out of virtually all early Hebrew Christians during the Holocaust and documentaries made of it. These will be my research.

Timeline of the Bible
This project attempts to date history of the Biblical world.
It begins from Adam and use only Biblical verses as guide to mark time.
I am not yet fully convinced by the Young Earth Creationists that "a day" is a 24-hour day as they claim. They claim that to be the Hebrew definition of a day. I am more convinced of a more literal definition of that: that it is an evening and morning - a day. So it could be 24.1 hour, 25 hour, etc. which I do not believe is the same as the 24-hour view point. Not even for 0.1 hour difference. So if it is a 25 hour day, it could be a much longer period day...even a week, year. But also, I am not talking about a figurative day, that a single day represents multiple days. If the "day" means contemporary thousands of years time frame, that it is only because there is only one daylight and one night in all these thousands of years. This is the more convincing argument for myself.
Therefore, I am not marking the creation of the Universe as a starting point.
Thus far it has been fun and very educational. Particularly on Shem's and Abraham's birthright. Jacob's age of birthright blessing, etc.
Though Judah is in Christ's genealogy, it appears that I need to use Joseph as a marker in the timeline because there is no due for Judah's life, except in external Jewish text.
