2012 Honda CR-V Turn Signal Light Flashing Too Fast

Several reasons (some basic info) behind this according google: bulb, fuse, relay (though I don't see any indication of relay switch for turn signal on the 2012 Honda CRV)

It usually happens around winter time when it's cold. So I think it has to do with temperature. This time it starts with the right signal blinking fast from time to time, then it's always blinking fast (I think it began around October 2022). And now (Jan 2023) the left turn light also starts to blink fast every time.

So I'll start with bulb change before looking into the fuse. Going to order some bulbs and keep them in stock if not needed:

Amazon Order Front turn signal light Socket Type 1157NA, Amber: AUXLIGHT 2057 1157 2357 7528 2057A 1157A 2357A LED Bulbs Amber Yellow, Ultra Bright 57-SMD LED Replacement for Blinker Lights, Turn Signal/Parking or Running Lights, Brake/Tail Lights (Pack of 2)
Amazon Order Rear turn signal light Socket Type 7440NA, Amber: AUXLIGHT 2057 1157 2357 7528 2057A 1157A 2357A LED Bulbs Amber Yellow, Ultra Bright 57-SMD LED Replacement for Blinker Lights, Turn Signal/Parking or Running Lights, Brake/Tail Lights (Pack of 2)

Unlike the front, the back turn signal light replacement would require a screwdriver.

Bullhorn Resume Parse as Existing Issue

At my company, lots of issue with this. But this ongoing this is really (other than format, layouts that's unlikely unreadable), is just due to parsing the wrong information, and upon saving, the site does not explain why it doesn't work, just simply ignoring the button click.

Solution: make sure major fields like first name, last name, email, etc. and in my recent case, Candidate Name was linked to wrong info, so I unchecked Candidate Name, and it should work.

I was led to the solution hint site above after doing a Developer Tool inspection on the site and then googled: errors.cannotPersistEntity

Weekly Reflection

1/6/2023

The Americans today, the fundamentalist/conservative group, often view China only as CCP and therefore as a whole culture, China's fully influenced by anti-Christian sentiment since 5000 years ago, culminating to CCP in the 20th century if not earlier. So, in this sense, they tend to relate all the CCP wickedness to the entire Chinese culture. This obvious ignorance is common among the American people. Even their Christians. So this is one extreme.

There is however, another extreme (merging special and general revelations), which the fundamentalists who are influenced by the view that China = CCP couldn't grasp, even if they tried to appreciate God's work in China in the 5000 year history. This other extreme, is the promotional fiction that the ancient Chinese knew about the true God before the Americans knew how to say "Bible". Laozhi had it more maturely, even before the Greeks. That not only was there a flood, but they knew of Noah and the total number of residents in the Ark, all recorded in the Chinese character (船), which is obviously refuted by 说文 a much earlier text on word morphology. Also, without the Bible, the Chinese knew enough to connect lamb sacrificial atonement to righteousness = 義, viz. imputed righteousness, Laozhi (600B.C.) already knew about the Trinity in 道德經, and many more. Even I can come up with a few of this Allegorical interpretations: The Trinity is also know to the Chinese in the word 主,王. Easy right?

Nonetheless, Laozhi is truly great indeed. 人法地,地法天,天法道,道法自然
This 自然, has nothing to do with NATURE. 自然 here is closer to "I AM" - or "It is" in aseity, immutability.
有物混成,先天地生。寂兮寥兮,獨立而不改,周行而不殆,可以爲天下母。

As I study through the works of Cornelius Van Til and the greats, I find it necessary to remind myself to not get caught up on the high terminologies they use lest I am bounded by such limitation from able to communicate the beauty of theology with commoners.

Watched the Bishop's Wife (1947) starring Cary Grant. Realized that it's copied by The Preacher's Wife starring Whitney Houston. Looked up some questions: Looks like this angel envy thing maybe related to the Nephilim interpretation in Genesis 6:2, that the "sons of God saw the daughters of men were fair..." to be interpreted as angels. I am open to that interpretation, but as Tong emphasized, it's better to ground ourselves in a more conservation translation of it, that sons of God = of the Godly Seth's line. And 1Peter 1:12 is just not about envy but angelic curiosity in the Gospel. Secondly, now since this is a "Bishop's" and there's talk of building the Cathedral of St. Timothy, I thought the whole time that it was a Catholic film, which actually turned out to be Episcopalian. I remember Lane Tipton speaking of how Rome corrupted the distinction between Creator and Creature with being as their tertium quid. So in this film, the angel (or more practically, saints, in real life) is the being and thus this angel must be a bridge between God and man, which is a no for any old princetonian.

Read also some fun facts (10 things you did not know-pasted in comment in case of future broken link) about the filming.

I'm reminded of long time ago, at least a decade ago, browsing through some extreme fundamentalist "Christian" groups, such as "A True Church" by Darwin Fish. They (or Darwin Fish, rather) basically call all the famous preachers false teachers. They believe that they ("true Christians") no longer sin, based on Hebrews 10:26. John Calvin dealt with this type in his commentary, they were called the Novatians, by Novatus. CARM ministry warned about this contemporary extremists as well. I just suddenly remembered them and thought to check them out. Looks like their Youtube uploads stopped about 9 years ago. Though the website's still up, I wonder what happened to them.

On how to read Eye Doctor's Prescription

Optometrists love to write in short hand. After doing my eyes checked at Rt. 35's COSTCO for new pair of glasses last week, I scanned the detail:

-875-100+85
-850-075+95

Both + 100

I'm doing progressive lenses, with transition lenses ($40) for a total of $195. In addition to the frame that we picked (around $$75)

According to online source, this is how I would read it:

O.D. = Oculus Dexter (Right eye): Sphere = -8.75, Cylinder = -1.00, Axis = 85, NV (Near Vision/reading) = +100

O.S. = Oculus Sinister (Left eye): Sphere = -8.50, Cylinder = -0.75, Axis = 95, NV (Near Vision/reading) = +100

For terms like Axis, etc. it's easy to look it up or please click here.

Scooter Tire Repair

This is regarding my most expensive/powerful $800+ Turbowheel Dart which I bought years ago for NYC travel until NJ Transit (or at least one conductor) implied it's a rule he may like to enforce. That as before COVID19. But I have loved using this scooter from the beginning, despite it being a bit heavy.

Bit when the front tire (and maybe back too) starts to show signs of being punctured, I applied Slime tube sealant: the green gooey stuff that acts as sealant after being pumped into the tires. Seemed to work for a while, but now the front tire is flat again very quickly despite injecting more Slime in it. This happened probably around summer 2022. So I haven't been able to ride it since then.

These videos on Youtube help in quickly disassembling the tires.

I mistakenly thought it was the back tire that had issue, so I took it out only to realize that the sealant seems to work well in this one. The real problem is the front tire. But here's the way to repair the back one anyway:

Btw, apparently my TurboWheel Dart model is actually (or very identical to) ZERO 9 also, or used to be called Zero 9, which is the brand that's easily found on Youtube for repairs. Also, the back tire is so much easier to remove than the front one which is so tightly screwed to the main body that I have just ordered a 17mm hex drill bit for $9 for a pair. I just realized that I followed a bad one on back tire repair by Falcon Pev (1-removing the back tire & 2-replacing the back tire inner tubing). Why bad? Because the way he replaced the tubing is too hard and too stressful.

This is a better, smarter video on ZERO 9 Rear Tire Change:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DjxsRoaC1o

And this is for the Front Tire:

Update 4/6/2023:

It seems that the front is fine again but the back is punctured. I'm guessing it's both. And I bought the wrong tubing somehow. They ones I bought were slightly larger in diameter and also the airway of the tubes are pointing in the wrong direction. I need ones with 90 degree angled airway towards the side. It maybe that the ones sold on eWheels: 8.5 X 2, 140x29-01 ($9 and shipping's not included $18 extra). I've also just ordered airless solid tires: ulip 8.5x2(50-134) Solid Scooter Tire Front and Rear Wheels Replacement for VSETT 9 9+ ZERO 9 Inokim Light 2 scooters

Solid one that seem compatible with specs: ulip 8.5x2(50-134)

Sight & Sound David on 12/21

I would give it 3/5. Still better than Broadway shows. If only they fix their poor music composition. Very dull. They think they could mask this poor quality in music with dancing and lights and sound effects, don't fool me.

We went with church and this is the feedback I gave in their survey:

Everything's great except:
The Casting of David (I'm saying this because I took a group and it's the majority's feedback on this): Too short, not handsome enough (hence not too biblical if you want to go there). The one playing David sang very well, however, this is show business, we don't need to let those equality LGBT ideas get in the way: Some castings should not be short, some should not be tall, chubby, etc. This is not about discrimination nor crowd pleaser, but biblical art.

Music composition was never great, not last year's, not the year before. But since this is a quality level production, I do expect better music myself. You will be doing Moses next year, I would expect catchy tunes matching that of "The Prince of Egypt", not to mention everlasting effect in composition. Graphics, stage choreography, etc. were all top level but the music composition. I don't know, change the composer, send him/her to special research training or something. Catchy tune is always a must in a masterpiece.

Pros: The David floating in the stars scene was spectacular. My most favorite of the whole show. Thank you. Original, creative, that scene alone was a match if not better than many Star Trek deep space scenes, artistically speaking.
Last but not least, Thanks for always keeping it Christ-Centered, artistically speaking of course.

Conclusion, you are doing better than Broadway already in everyway but the musical composition which really need serious improvement, the dance, loudness, sound effects, graphic effects are not going to cover bad musical composition (maybe except only for untrained ears and by untrained I mean those who cannot read basic music sheets).

Adding/Embed Subtitle to MP4 video files

Looks like the 86" big screen LG TV downstairs support subtitle via Windows Media Stream. But these subtitle need to be "embedded" in the video and in this case, MP4 format. I am not sure about AVI. Media Stream subtitle doesn't seem to work well with subtitle files separately.

To do this, thanks to this site:

ffmpeg -i infile.mp4 -i infile.srt -c copy -c:s mov_text outfile.mp4

Update 1/11/2024: For hardcoding subtitle to mp4, this online free tool seems to work well, although it turned my 2GB mp4 into 3GB mp4.

Bruce Sabados

Bruce Sabados and his wife has visited our church several times now. Though I find myself lack of the opportunity to communicate with them. They were seen talking to our pastor most of the time and occasionally attended our Thursday Bible study. He has a website: https://bruceasabados.com/ according to which, it's likely his background is Baptist. It appears that he was ordained senior pastor in Calvary Bible Church, a Baptist church in NJ (His installation video @1:03:52 of https://livestream.com/cbcnj/events/8847119/videos/197515191) and the only sermon (June 7, 2020, Disciples Understand What is Most Important - Luke 10:38-42) of his I could find in short. However, apparently he's no longer the church's staff anymore now according to the church's staffs page, which is curious, since his installation was in 2019 (Oct. 6), pre-Covid19. I wonder what happened.

This also prompted me in wondering: How does one, graduated, certified, having the right resume, get to work in a church? Questions of denominational principle (i.e. John in our church reminded me that this Presbyterian church would not have hired a Baptist-baptism pastor) is not enough, but also how they relate to the congregants. This is of course, trying already. For I never really support the idea of hiring a strangers on pastoral staffs, but if it must, then there are tons of questions.
